I dont trust these people taking care of the FPP decisions . I believe that after Ashley.s statement " the deal is not dead " then there will be shenanigans / cover ups / lies / bribery / that will take place and money as always will out and these murderers will get what they want .
We have seen with City and EUFA that these Arabs care nothing for rules and regulations and in ten years time they will be running the game to an extent after they beat the FFP case you could argue they are almost running things now.
They will be the main power as they are now within horse racing once the Arab oil money enters the arena there is only one winner the ones with the most money . Ethics will be of no consequence . Truth will be their truth as with Koshiggi . Meanwhile they will carry with their racist exploitation of the poor of Asia .For people to want these despots owning their club just goes to prove that the remark of Bill Shankley all those years ago " people think football is a matter of life and death are wrong its more important than that "
I f our club is taken over by such people then thats me finished with football forever .

Arabs buying a club recognised as being Jewish?
Can anyone really see that happening?
It’s a weird dynamic because there is a lot of anti Semitism in the Middle East, not least in Saudi Arabia but then again, a lot of the emirate states are more willing to do business with Israel and talk peace so who knows. I wouldn’t want it to happen whatsoever though.

I lived in Qatar for 2 years. They hate Jews with a passion. As both Qataris and Saudis are basically Bedouin, it's not a leap to state that they feel the same, particularly as Qataris are the more liberal of the 2.

Anyway, this isn't about Newcastle so I'll leave it alone now.

It’s not totally irrelevant though - I read an article somewhere once saying that children’s textbooks over in Saudi Arabia contain anti Semitism.

The irony of the Bill Shankly quote is that he said it very much 'tongue in cheek' and it was taken that way for decades. Now though, we have Newcastle fans up in arms because their club was prevented from being bought by the very worst abusers of human rights who resort to torture and murder at the drop of a hat.

Don't get me wrong, the regime over there is horrific.
But just to be devils advocate, I wonder how many of us wouldn't sell our houses to the Saudi Royal Family if they were to come along and slap a mill down on the table....I know I fucking would, I'd throw in the furniture as well.
Fucking right I would, I've been stuck in a council flat since my divorce, I'd probably take 500k for it! ?

I think they'll face to same problems, i.e. that English football doesn't want to be associated with human rights abusers and murderers. Man City got away with it but that deal was done before anyone got a proper heads up. Fit and proper took on a different meaning after that (at least I hope it did).
Also the UAE has a much better public persona than Saudi, the Kashoggi killing being a very public example of the difference in the two countries.

What world do you live in? If there is one country in the middle east that gives Israel unprecedented support by turning a blind eye to all of its wrongs, its the Saudis.

Saudi Arabia and Israel are like two identical but opposite pairs that make up a shoe

If you want owners that follow ethics, don't break rules or take bribes then good luck! What world do you live in?

Yeah, after all no other country in the modern world is guilty of committing human rights abuse is it!!!

I despise the Saudi regime more than most but reading some of the remarks in this thread does make me chuckle and shake my head In disbelief. As George Orwell so eloquently put it, spread hate and nonsense for long enough and you'll eventually have the (thick) masses believe you
