I agree with that bloke's face.

I remember several discussions on here regarding Robben back when the questions was being asked if we should have gone for him (not that we could have got him) but all the talk then was that he was also over the hill, on a steady decline and we shouldn't be going anywhere near him. I think he's kinda proved over this season he's not quite finished yet.

Villa would be a semi-gamble with his injuries, but one a club like Spurs would be stupid not to take. We're not in a position to be turning down world class strikers.

anyone bar leandro, Just checked his goal scoring record- Terrible.

I think you must have checked the wrong person....

In his last two seasons in Brasileirao he has:

14 goals in 28 games and 7 in 19 when he was out injured for nearly half a season

In the Copa Libertadores last two seasons he has:

4 goals in 8 and 6 goals in 10.

Whilst he hasn't perhaps set the world alight yet, his goal scoring record is decent.

But i'm not convinced we should sign him.

Lukaku would be my first choice but it's impossible.

I think we'll go for Villa and Benteke.

What's with all the ITK on Leandro again. I thought last window was our last attempt to get him? Is this saga going to run again all summer?

Leandro deal is done according to ITK. But pretty sure we had that last window?

Reminds me of Mark van Bommel as well,
back in 2005 when he was available on a bosman and linked to us (untill we knew there was bigger guys after him)
People argued that he was too old at 27/28 years old and that we should go for younger players in line with our transfer strategy at the time.
Since then he's played for Barcelona, Milan and Bayern Munich. Won the league in Spain, Italy and Germany. Won the Champions League, played a World Cup final. Generally been one of the games most solid players in his position.

But people claimed that it was done on the last day of the window, this time they claim it before it's even open. I'm positive we will sign him.

Leandro's like Schrodinger's Cat, we've signed him and we haven't signed him.

Actually I'm starting to think that Leandro D. was just one of Harry's other accounts.

Benteke. Scored alot of goals.
On another note Bony of Ivory Coast scored 31 goals in Budelsliga this season. Impressive.

Damaio for me. Based on you tube and Olympics, but then same with benteke and lakaku only they are you tube and MOTD, which is really is just about as accurate as you tube. Whilst both lakaku and benteke are strong and hold up I feel they are both a bit lucky / scruffy / accidental scorers much of the time. Damaio seems the most intelligent of the strikers with good strength on the ball and a very on purpose approach to playing.. My onions.

I wish I could share your positive view, but its just been going on far to long. Every transfer window we become a cat toy that becomes boring after a while but the cat eventually come back for another play!
