Take your laptop in just a sleeve, and you can take it in the ground. It's all in the club acceptable bag policy.Anyone used the bag drop services and know the estimate on queuing to get back. Could do without leaving laptop at the office on Weds, but also don’t wanna be in a Disneyland like queue to get it back
They offered an even more ludicrous deal just before Christmas. 30% cashback off of any purchases anywhere with up to £50 back. My partner and I both had one, so used one for a night out and sure enough got the £50, ended up buying Amazon vouchers with the other in the end before it expired and got the money back there too.Not sure how long these discounts can last but I thought I would give Astropay a go and have had the card for a couple of months now . You do get the promised discount not at the till in the stadium it shows the normal price but your account gets credited with the discount. At the Man C game purchased a beer for £5.95 and got £1.19 credited back to my account.
Get ready for Spurs vs Brentford this Wednesday!
Enjoy all these incredible offers when you use your Spurs Card:
- 20% cashback at any Official Spurs merchandise location at the Stadium
- 20% cashback at any of the food and beverage concessions inside*
- 100% cashback on public transport in London for home games
Yes I saw that and just thought it was too good to be true , thought there must be a catch somewhere and missed it.They offered an even more ludicrous deal just before Christmas. 30% cashback off of any purchases anywhere with up to £50 back. Good video on the stadium and it's benefits to the club.
I wanted us to stay at WHL and redevelop it, along the lines of LiverpoolAnd you can still read the odd post of some fans who would much rather we stayed at WHL , I thought dinosaurs died out millions of years ago
62k and barely a seat to be had so I think the redevelopment was the best option, capacity needs to be maximised atmI wanted us to stay at WHL and redevelop it, along the lines of Liverpool
I accept we’d never have got planning for more than about 50k although I’m sure there would eventually have been some ‘wiggle room’ with that figure
You lose so much of your soul with new builds, even if you use bits of the old gaff to build the new one
New builds become old builds such is the arrow of time. For newer fans this will be the only home they've known. Hopefully soon with memories of triumphant league campaignsI wanted us to stay at WHL and redevelop it, along the lines of Liverpool

I just see it as a redevelopment now, it's just that instead of knocking the old bits down one stand at time we did them all in one go.I wanted us to stay at WHL and redevelop it, along the lines of Liverpool

I don't know about preferred option maybe original option as they didn't own any of the property around the ground but they set about buying them up quietly in the early years of the century.I think many people either forget or didn’t know that redeveloping WHL was the club’s preferred option.
Bit because of the limitations caused by the existing footprint, the maximum capacity would have been mid 40s, with no scope for expanding facilities and all the other stuff that brings in extra revenue, including keeping people in the ground longer before and after games.
Economically and in terms of planning consents it made no sense, especially when you compare it with what they did on the same, but expanded, site.
People still chant “We are shelf-side” at the new ground, getting on for 40 years after the Shelf closed. As one of the few remaining supporters to have stood there, I can say that the Shelf was great and very intimidating for away teams but the new South Stand is better - better view, better atmosphere and way way better in terms of facilities and safety. It’s strange to think, but in a few years time there will be adult Spurs fans who can’t even remember the old White Hart Lane.
Someone who was six when we left White Hart Lane will only have vague memories of the old WHL, if they have any memories of it all. That was nearly seven years ago, so those kids will be becoming teenagers now.
The old WHL will just be something us “old” guys reminisce about, like seeing Hoddle play, or Tottenham win a trophy
Or the fact that there were only three ladies' toilets for all of the women in half of the west lower stand! It’s strange to think, but in a few years time there will be adult Spurs fans who can’t even remember the old White Hart Lane.

There was only one 'sit-down' mens loo for half of the East Upper - and that was in a barely useable state on the rare occasions when it wasn't already occupied by some lads powdering their noses.Or the fact that there were only three ladies' toilets for all of the women in half of the west lower stand!

As a Crohns disease sufferer, that was far from ideal.
