The extra land comprises the Archway Sheet Metal Works on Paxton Road and two crappy little garages on Northumberland Park. How the stadium rebuild would work was outlined two years ago.

Now that west ham have seemingly won the bid, does that mean Real madrid and Barca will be looking over their shoulders in 3 years time as the OS will make west ham a football super power instead of us? LOOOL.

I hope, if this is true, that we move on (excuse the pun) and find the finances that will allow us to continue with the NDP or at least the redevelopment of the lane.

CONGRATS to all those who were so voiciferous against the move.

It is a real shame for Spurs as they had a real opportunity to move into the big time. Now it looks as though they will be stuck with the original plans and spiralling costs and a massive debt burden for years to come.

Must admit I was for the move. Was a season ticket holder for many years and getting out of the Stadium / area is something I don't miss and imagine it with another 20,000 trying to get across the High Rd etc ! For those that have never been to a quality / purpose built stadium....the experience is a tad better.

Now, it would appear the only hope is for some rich Arab to come along and front the re-building of Spurs and the local area and anything else the council want...at least that way revenue from the new stadium could go towards the team and not paying bank loans.

Right now I can only hope that the BBC article was a tad premature and maybe the decision is not so cut and dried.

The BBC refers to executives having made up their minds and now just needing the board to support them. The executives on the OPLC board seem to be altman and dutton, according to their website. The article suggests the rest of the board will be asked to support their view on the vote on Friday. Maybe the leak is to put further pressure on the voting members? I can't see the board members disagreeing with the executives anyway.

You can pretty much be assured that this is far from over, as Levy and the AEG/Tavistock legal teams will have be gearing up to take this matter to court for a couple of months now incase of this eventuality.

I don't believe that for a moment. THFC is not going to take on the Mayor, the government and the great British public. When this is finally rubber-stamped we'll take it on the chin.

I'm sure we'll also be waiting in the wings in case the reality for West Ham is that they can't in the end make the deal stack up.

Not in great detail, I only know that the new stadium will be built next to WHL, with the remaining section of the new stadium being on top of the exisiting stand of WHL.

What I was suggesting, is just knock down WHL completely, and build what we have designed, directly on top, without having to gain the extra land thats not been brought yet.

Not enough room.

They won't taking on the Mayor and Government though, they will be challenging the OPLC's ability to make an impartial recommendation based upon the amount that has been said in the media by people like Lord Coe and Karen Brady, and that for a significant period of the bidding process one member of the OPLC board was employed by Newham council who was one of the bidders.

The mayor of Newham was on the board he just wasn't allowed to vote, I don't see how Tessa Sanderson having a contract with Newham is any different, had she been allowed to vote then fair enough.

Technically it shouldn't matter if they were not allowed to vote, as they still would have been able to influence the other OPLC members by unfair means.

Look at it this way mate. If you were accused of murder and during the trial you found out that both a friend and family member of the victim were allowed to be part of the jury, but were not allowed to vote; you would rightly want it declared a mistrial.

Levy and his legal teams will probably argue something similar

Let's not forget that it was "BBC Insiders" that confidently told the world that Martin O'Neill was the new West Ham manager a few weeks back.

Looks like Brady has been at it again, bet she like adding in the bolded bit

Meanwhile, Hammers vice chairman Karren Brady upped the stakes in her column in The Sun by sharing the Upton Park club's vision of a new era.

Speaking on her vision for the summer of 2014, she said: "Mark Noble

will lead us out as we make our Olympic claret and blue-print a reality.

"England manager Harry Redknapp will be my guest after an amazing summer saw us get World Cup glory again.

"There will be the gold medallists from 2012 but there will also be representatives from all walks of life who played their part in making today a reality.

"We can look back with pride on February 2011 and know that we all did the right thing."

I'm quite looking forward to next series of The Apprentice when Uncle Al rips his shirt open to reveal a Spurs kit then punches her in the face.

Well we'll find out in the next few months I suppose, but I'd be stunned if we went down the legal route.

Both Levy and West Ham's board have indicated they would take the decision to court if it did not go in their favour

I hope, if this is true, that we move on (excuse the pun) and find the finances that will allow us to continue with the NDP or at least the redevelopment of the lane.

West Ham are going down the plug hole as things stand. However in recent history it's the clubs on the verge of collapse who've proved the irresistible bargains to the Billionaire playboys of this world (Chelsea, Man City). Not saying it will definitely happen, but if I were the Qatari Royal family and after a bit of prestige I'd figure I could do a lot worse than purchase for peanuts a club on the verge of bankruptcy but which is situated in the heart of London, with incredible transport links, close to the mega bucks of Canary Wharf and in the Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park. You'd be a fool not to wouldn't you?

On the finding the finances for the NDP hope, it's not going to happen unless we're bought up by a billionaire playboy, but that's something that will be far more damaging to the club's soul than any 5 mile move across London could ever be.

We're definitely not going to redevelop the existing stadium, or if we are they've kept very quiet about it.

We get what we wish for I guess, just don't start moaning when we have to sell Modric and Bale, because the only chance of sustained success now is to follow the classic Arsenal model of constant player recycling.

Trouble is they were successful in a different era with fewer top clubs and a visionary at the helm; whatever Harry's qualities are they're not far-sightedness.
