Who's moaning? I want us to have home advantage for one of the biggest games in our history, not play at a neutral venue.
I’d have us move tomorrow but you could argue that after nearly two seasons at Wembley, where despite everything we demolished Real Madrid and Dortmund (twice), NWHL might feel like a neutral venue for the first few games...albeit an infinitely better one!

That's probably too late, given test events. Possible that we'll have seperate announcement of test event dates (hopefully between tomorrow and Friday to take place on the 23rd and 30th), and then the first match later once we know what's going on fixture wise.

I'm sure it was mentioned many, many moons ago that the 1st test event would be something like a 20k crowd, and the 2nd being 40k (not much more), so with those numbers it will definitely be all that can attend will be put into a ballot, and the least amount of notice might make it a little easier to select 20k. with a bit more notice for the 2nd event, the majority of ST holders will have more notice (just opinion)

If we dont play Brighton on the 7th can't we do a test event that weekend at full capacity instead? That way we're prepared for the CL regardless.

I would hope they have a similar system to match tickets for the test events. ST holders first, Hotspur + second and Hotspur members 3rd. If there's any space left open to general sale or restricted general sale. Fans who paid club membership or STs deserve first dibs. The other peasants can wait :cautious:

No idea why my post deserved this response. There are very few clubs in Europe that have a 70k + stadium and those that do are the established elite European teams. We are currently in the 2nd tier behind the elite. If we get taken over buy silly money and start showing real ambition in the transfer market then fine. Or if we find another way to win trophies then fine. But as of right now 62k is fine imo. Wembley has shown that people can be very fickle when it comes to going to football.
It isn't only about fickleness. If your work and family commitments mean you have to spend time and/or money on other things, then football has to take a back seat. Personally, I simply wouldn't be able to afford more than 1 or 2 Spurs games per season.

I think 62k is perfect for now. The only time we need to think about going bigger is if we start racking up PL + CL titles.
I think it's perfect full stop. Increase the capacity much more and you'll get the daytripping selfiesticking pizza munching tourists that have been frequenting Wembley. Let's have an atmosphere.

Or worse. Man Utd fans in the 'home' section.

There were enough annoying people about when the capacity was 36k.

Yeah, I remember being surrounded by a load of Korean fans in Man Utd shirts in the east stand upper back in 2006, all Park fans I assume but they all still celebrated when Rooney caught Pyo in possession to score the winner, had that not happened we would never have had lasagna-gate.

That’s fair enough but not really relevant to my point. If things are going well on the pitch and off but your own personal situation is not, then someone else will snap up your seat. However fickleness due to on pitch form or lack of investment is a complete different set of circumstances.

Been told 20k test event will be on Sunday 24th March. Will be a youth team game.

Not sure how that works as neither U23 or U18 have any matches scheduled for the international break. Maybe it will be a friendly with a glamour academy.

On the bright side, they’re all Spurs fans now.

Reports in some papers, think I read in the Guardian, that the first event is likely to be a youth game and the second a legends one and done by the end of March ... but until now it's all whispers and rumours. I will be so glad when we announce something officially and hope your info is spot on

This.

Let's not get it twisted, if we manage to play our CL quarter final in the new ground, the atmosphere will be like nothing any of us have ever seen. It will be ridiculous and could only be a positive boost for the players.
