Yeah I wasn’t necessarily having a go at our club, I just think 70 quid is an absolute rip in general. 30-40 quid seems about a fair price to me - how much does it really cost them to make it?

That price prevents me from buying it every season. If i ever get a shirt it’s always a few seasons out of date.

Do the club ever take feedback on this? If Nike set the tone then I guess it’s all out of our control…
This is pure speculation from myself, but I don't know if the £70 price is related to the shirts being made from recycled plastic bottles???

My local National League club are sponsored by Nike, and their away top was £44. It does feel like a bit of a mockery to me that the Spurs equivalent is £70

It’s basic capitalist supply and demand. If they can charge £70 and sell out, why would they charge £44?

Love the away kit but hopefully we have a black away kit next year, with like a turquiose colour for the badges etc

Dude: BUCK TWO.

That is word-for-word what my son said; how effing dare you accuse me of lying. He's a smart kid who truly likes more classic, streamlined kits for us. If there's a cool home (like the 19/20 version) I get him it. If there's a cool navy away strip (like the spilled-paint one from a couple of years back) he'll do that too. This year the only kit we both liked was the yellow 3rd- so I got him it, because yellow is a Tottenham color and the shirt was clean and cool looking; the most recent home was disgusting and the away was beautiful save for the fact that green is not a Spurs color- so we passed.

So yeah- first off I/we like/have liked a number of kits down the years- and secondly my son did indeed say exactly what I said he said. He thinks that the third kit ought to be the "wild, crazy, envelope-pushing top"- not the away. The away should be more normal- i.e., navy blue. I don't know what else to tell you.

I think we are rotating Green into the clubs palette for the long term. Purple was never a traditional colour for Spurs but we started that in 94 I believe and have had multiple purple since.

I think the away kit has already been leaked for the 22/23 season, it’s the wetsuit looking kit

Seen plenty wearing the away today. Still think after seeing it up close I can't pull it off, even though I do like it.

What age do you think people should stop wearing jerseys? I'm 39 and tempted to get the away jersey for the first jersey in maybe 15ish years but thinking even for going to a match I'm too old for it.

38.

Seriously, I never wear mine. Ever. Just doesn't appeal. On the football weekly podcast they were discussing this and Barry reckons 13. I tend to think you can go up to around mid-20s. After that it's a bit iffy.

Wear whatever you want to wear. Who are you afraid is judging you for your choice of clothes? Life is depressing enough as it is without having the fear of society dictating what you choose to wear. It's not harming anyone. It's not inciting hate or violence.

I'm 37 and couldn't give 2 shits what anyone else says. I personally love the away kit, very happy I bought it and honestly think it looks good on me. So fuck anyone who would try tell me I'm too old for it.

I started going with "If the player is younger than me, don't wear the jersey." I'm 31 so options are starting to be more and more limited.

I have a few classics in other sports that I'll wear to a game but I've definitely moved away from jerseys as I've gotten older.

Only time I'll judge someone for wearing one is if they put their own name on the back or if they're a full kit wanker.

Have to admit I think the home kit looks incredibly nice, just really clean and I do love the navy socks. Probably my favourite home kit along with Nike's first season one.

I am 40 - fuck that hurts just saying it.
I very rarely wear the tops - I have so many of the away kits that I have bought that have tags still on them. I buy them because they tend to be unique... but i do wear the top when on say a european away trip or even to an away game here in England. Theyre more about showing your colours as it were and pride...

Oh also, I saw a grown man (probably 30s) out for a jog with a new home 'Winks 29' shirt on earlier. Really caught me off guard and had me overthinking his potential thought process whilst ordering it and what kind of a bloke he likely is. Not sure I could be friends with him.

You sure it wasn't Winks himself?
