Wonder how that works with the transfer ban if it is upheld?
It doesn’t.

I wouldn't have thought so actually because they would be offered the option but wouldn't take it up, the fact that they can't take it up is irrelevant I reckon as Bournemouth can't be prevented from doing business because Chelsea have been sanctioned. As far as the player goes I'd be ok with him at Spurs.Just locks him in for another year
I’ve been impressed by Ake for the last two seasons. Would defo take him, he’s quick, strong and athletic. Good defender.
I am bracing myself for JJ’s info, regarding a crowds favourite, surprise leaving. At this stage of his career, it could be JV?
Some of our mainstays, might feel as though they’ve taken Spurs to strong position. It could be a good time to cash in and get a good pay day for themselves and the club. Plus secure the final stage of their career.
Most of his games for the Dutch team have been at LB where his main competition is Blind. If Blind's form goes out the window again there's every chance Ake will be playing regularly for them.Makes a lot of sense for a number of reasons. Firstly a really good defender, young, PL experienced and homegrown.
Also unlikely to play much international football with the likes of De Ligt, Van Dijk and De Vrij being ahead of him.
