I want a selection of present players to be remotivated, reeducated and to kick some ass.
Vertonghen, Dier, Lucas, Kane, Aurier, Lamela, Rose, Aurier and Dele all have potential to tap into.

I hope Mourinho will bring his swaggy arrogance to press conferences, plus that I actually will be able to understand coherent sentences from the head coach again (AVB was the last who spoke coherently).

I expect to feel like we finally have tactics. I don't remember that happened.

1) Mourinho to display the tactical nouse and clever use of substitutions that he's made such a successful career of.

2) Progressive style of play that wins matches (I'm not going to say "exciting", because Mourinho won't change that drastically ? ).

3) Unsettled players to buy into the new regimes and expiring contracts to be extended / unsettled players to be moved on and adequately replaced (instead of the recent limbo that isn't healthy for anyone).

4) A blend of ambitious signings and utilising academy players.

5) The club to be instilled with a winning mentality and to out fear into the opposition (teams haven't look scared of us since our form started to slump in January 2019).

Want - Trophies, winning, hopefully exciting, football.
Hope - some of the Academy lads through to replace the tired demotivated older guys
Expect - honestly, trophies. The guy is a winner. Maximum time between trophies in his career - 18 months. I'll have some of that. I am genuinely excited to have him on board

I am hoping he will get completely w******d at the Christmas party and lay out DL with a flying headbutt. Either that, or just win this Saturday.

I hope and expect him to treat staff (including team doctors, etc) better this time around.

Im surprised at the amount of people who bring this up.
I would expect them all to have whiter than white personalities, who have never stepped out of line or treated anyone badly ever in their lives, however I suspect that's probably not the case which makes the hand-wringing over calling a doctor a nasty name pretty funny.

I want to see players committed to the cause and playing to their strengths (both of which we seem to have lost).

I hope to see a squad that isn’t always wrestling with a long injury list.

I expect to see some popular players leave and a lot of interesting headlines about Spurs.

Nobody would care a hoot if he'd called a male doctor a nasty name.

Apparently the doctor being female somehow makes her futile and in need of protection, as opposed to a peer, an equal. It's inherently misogynistic for people to cling on to this on account of the accomplished professional in question being a woman IMO.

I want us to win a trophy.

I hope we at least get one solid "Mourinho" season. He always seems to have at least one great season at every club he manages and hopefully that will be next year for us. I also hope he makes a few shrewd signings, attracting a few seasoned heads and exciting players to the club that we might not have been able to get otherwise. I also hope he can persuade at least one of our want-away CBs to stay.

I expect us to improve tactically and win some big games but I also expect everything to fall apart as it always does with him. I also expect him to sideline one or two big talents who will then go onto be huge successes elsewhere (e.g. Foyth, Sess, Parrott).

That's a valid point.

But anyone would think he'd been found with a dead hooker in his boot the way some carry on.
He called a doctor a rude name, big fucking deal.

Under Jose we will win something. And I know that I would have been extremely worried had he gone to Arsenal.

I don't particularly like the bloke, but we've been far too nice to play against under Poch. All winners have a mean streak in them and we need to find ours. I want WHL to quickly become the place teams dread coming to play.

He touched on something in his presser.

He said sometimes you have to work with people you don't love, and work well.

The biggest thing he'll do, initially, is getting the players fighting for one another, developing a real team ethic.

We've missed that. A passionate and energised team.

Then we'll see the true quality come out

Im not sure we didn't have that under Poch, apart from the last 12 months, but that ethic combined with a top drawer tactician is what Im looking forward to seeing.

For me, the thing with the doctor/physio was more about the effect it had on the players rather than than the doctor ( although it still wasn’t a great way to behave). It was a big error of judgment.

The only thing with Jose that I did think was genuinely bang out of order was the poking in the eye thing at Real ( although I admit I still found it funny in a shocking way).
