Most hated THFC 11.

I wonder, has anyone ever posted a thread about spurs players that they really dislike now. I know its very un-fanlike and I didn't think there were many but I surprised myself after a few minutes thinking about it. Anyway, I can't actually pick a team of them but I can name my favourites....

1 - Judas, by a landslide.
2 - Modric - For the way he left and the things he says.
3 - Michael Brown - for existing
4 - Ben Thatcher - for the elbow on Mendes.
5 - Graham Roberts - great player but he talks crap regularly on talkshite and he just gets on my wick.
6 - George Graham - Couldn't turn his 'gooner' off when he was managing us.

There are lots of others who are controversial but I never really disliked them for it - Gough, chimbonda, Adebayor, Gallas, teddy, Carr, Ghaly, Berbatov, O'Hara, even Jenas/Bentley/Rebrov..... I never dislike anyone for being a bad player, nor do I anyone currently playing for us, but each to they're own I suppose.

I was going to say. Graham Roberts is a hero of mine. I was about to say how surprised I was that any Spurs fan would hate him. He's Spurs through and through.

I don't totally hate Sol Campbell.

But let me explain before you guys try to burn me alive

While I am one of the reasons that the World Cup in 1994 worked, it wasn't until 1998 that I really gave up all other sport for football alone. It might be even safe to be reductive to the point of giving all credit to that goal by Bergkamp against Brazil.

But from that point on I loved football, especially English football, but didn't have a side. I fluttered around with United after the treble but that never felt genuine. I even thought about Charlton Athletic after the epic 4-3 match with Villa that got them relegated. But that didn't feel right either. So I would be on the search for a couple of years.

And it was Sol that led me to Spurs. When he did what he did, I was drawn to the supporters. I saw the rage and angst, felt the betrayal and understood and empathized with it.

And that's when Spurs chose me (as they say you don't get to choose your club).

So. Prick? Yes. But he did give me the club I so dearly love with his act. And that's why I can't totally hate the ****

Fair enough, just don't like what he normally has to say about THFC on the Radio. If I didn't know who he was I would think he disliked Tottenham.

Yep, said 'going to a bigger club to win some trophies' when he went to Newcastle. I always liked him myself but after that I went all 'neutral' on his ass. Never turned to dislike but I can see why he was nicknamed 'surly'.

I forgot about that but I wasn't bothered at the time, I thought he was decent for us in his first spell.
