Anyone else noticed that it's mainly the solid and less flamboyant teams that are going through to the final stages?
England are the top scorers left in the tournament now... obviously that could change in more ways than one tonight.
Solid? Oh dear lol.
I know we haven't conceded many but we haven't really played anyone either.

Morocco were absolutely brilliant tactically. Rock solid compact defense. They’ve conceded zero against Belgium, Spain, Portugal, and Croatia… unbelievable feat.

I wasn't saying we were. Oh dear lol.

But if your still saying we haven't played anyone after seeing who other teams have lost to in this world cup then you haven't been paying attention.

I kind of agree. Teams with a decent defence are definitely coming out on top as seen with Croatia who barely have an attack worthy of the name beating Brazil. France and Argentina have to be the favourites based on the fact that they have the most balanced teams and deep squads. Morocco for all their endeavour lack a decent centre forward and their bench is weak. England have a poor back line imo and will be lucky if they don't concede more than two against France. I say this as an England fan. We have struggled these past few years to name a balanced team as our CB's aren't good enough to form a steady back four.

I'm sorry, but for those who are so against this WC, I say this is probably one of the best.
The quality of the football has nothing to do with where its being held.

In fact it just makes it all the more ridiculous that one of the better footballing WC's in recent memory is being held a barely accessible shithole.

We can only play who we're scheduled to. Not our fault if we were drawn in a group with Iran, USA and Wales. Not our fault Senegal finished second in their group. Not our fault that Germany, Spain, Belguim, Brazil, Portugal haven't gone through far enough for us to play them.
Not our fault the likes of Italy didn't even qualify.

All we can do is win our games and by all means we have done so without conceding many and have been scoring several goals.

qatar is one of the most accessible places on earth for transit and is anything but a “shithole” which is racist language no matter how poor the locale is.

Esp for Africa and Asia - with the hub being in Qatar. Far more fans from these continents were able to travel there.

Up The Roccans!

This is huge for us, we've always backed whichever nation gets the furthest for Africa.

Imagine telling that to the major airlines.

Aren't Senegal the African champions?

The US are the CONCACAF champions if we're going down that route.

BTW I hate this whole "England haven't played anyone" thing. They're a Pot 1 side. By definition they shouldn't play another top side until the QF stage which is what happened.

On the assumption this is the last World Cup for both Ronaldo and Messi, it would an absolute travesty if both of them failed to lift the trophy during their careers.

Er...on second thoughts no it wouldn't. In fact, I'd piss myself laughing.

I want Messi to fail and want him in tears next round or the final but I want tears.
