And while this is happening in a Labour controlled borough, Sadiq Khan remains strangely silent.

To be fair, I think the jury's still out on his relative competence as Mayor thus far.

However, given the amount of attention he's been paying to the ridiculous 'Garden Bridge project' I'm surprised he has yet to comment on this controversial project. After all, it was he who, during the London mayoral race, spoke about his opposition to the ownership of London property by “those using anonymous offshore tax havens”. His silence is deafening.

But, to be fair, the choice was between Khan and a man who built his whole campaign on trying to smear Khan by attaching him to extremist groups.

Wasn't a good mayoral election by any means.
