Dan - you'd better not be ITK on this.

Ashley & Kemsley buying Spurs is about the only thing I can imagine that's worse than when we were managed by the Boring Goon Crook in the Overcoat.....

I'd boycott Spurs if those two bastards come anywhere near the club.

Mihir Bose has ALWAYS been anti-Spurs and, more particularly, anti-El Tel.
I personally cannot stand the arrogant little prick...

Yeah, no mention of it at all - who does this guy think he is??

4.

oops - sorry to all concerned - I missed that bit -

but it is still biased against spurs and levy in particular-

the last two paragraphs give a quasi overview of our performances since Levy took charge, but there is no mention of our two 5th place finishes or our victory in the Carling - the victory is mentioned in the financial bit which Bose uses to compare to the on pitch bit later - hence why I didn't it connect it with my criticism - but I agree I did miss it and apologise again - will Bose be apologising for missing out our 2 5th place finishes - I doubt it

I've done some googling but must admit can't find that Bose has written too much anti-spurs stuff

so maybe my thought that in general Bose was anti-spurs is wrong

it's mentioned in a few places that Bose is a spurs fan - however that means little when it comes to putting the boot in -

there a few 'spurs fans' journos who have been more negative than postive towards us over the years

mind you that's true of a lot of the West Stand where I guess most of the 'spurs fan journos' sit

you'll hear more criticism than singing and cheering from there

the bottom line is that the article is quite correct - spurs are generally a well managed business which is why we buy carricks and berbatovs and then sell them on for huge profits - if we are were a football business run but someone with balls we would have said

a) don't sell defoe - we knew at christmas berbs was going
b) buy a striker when window opened (pav)
c) buy his mate when window opened (arshavin)
d) new season you know you have
e) berbs - sulking on the bench
f) pav / defoe / bent
g) berbs is sold and you say so what instead of urgently saying yes we have money can pay for pav now

so that is the problem we are run as a business not a club!

Oh FFS…

Perhaps he should add in last season's 11th spot for the sake of journalistic balance?

and he still painted an anti-Spurs picture
Can you point out which bit of the picture is sunny at the moment?
Is there some hidden enigmatic smile or an aura of subdued brilliance that is difficult for the uncultured eye to see.Eek

the three previous seasons BC

his piece wasn't just about this season, it was a supposed overview of the way Levy does business - but omitted the good parts about Levy 'on the pitch performance' in his quasi-overview in the last two paras

Eek

Article seems fine to me.

We are in the shite. Yes we got two fifth finishes and essentially Jol's team were the ones who won the CC last year. Then Levy sacked that manager and presided over the dismantling of that team - and so far has clearly failed to rebuild, for example in attack.

One of the great causes of my ambivalence to ENIC/Levy over the years has been that I never believed in their long term commitment to Spurs and that they were always liable to sell us to a bunch of numpties. This seems it may well happen. Better the numpties we know or don't?

Having consecutive 5th place finishes is a great achievement, except when the Club's stated ambition is to secure Champions League football. And then finish 11th.

Levy set an objective and failed to meet it. The objective was set again for this season and it is reasonable to assume we will fail to achieve it again.

That is a rod for his own back.

It's like asking Manure/Chelsea fans, who are bloated with Club press releases stating that it's all out for the title, to be happy about finishing second.
