I know it happening but fuck it gonna be hard seeing him there next season.

It will be strange but I think the moment it will kinda hit will be if and when he wins something with them - and I hope to God he fails.

I still have this glimmer of hope that Levy will gazump Chelsea but that is more blind hope than anything

I loved Potch like so many on here but I don’t get the media love in with it all. He was the manager of a side that were called also rans and bottle jobs and he himself criticised for not being able to get spurs over the finish line, with a side many neutrals believed to was the best side in the country at that point.

I do understand the emotion involved for some here but he's really not trying to hurt us.
As long as it's not Arsenal, I'm not too bothered really because as much as I hate Chelsea, I don't really consider them rivals apart from the fact they're in the same city.

Plenty of managers and players have switched between the two clubs over the years and Poch needs to get back into work.
He loves the league and lives in London, it's kind of a no-brainer for him now that we don't want him.

Am I a bit gutted that he's going to them? Sure but it's not a slight against us or the club.
He's a manager that wants to work and I can't begrudge him for taking this opportunity (even if I hope it fails - which will also be kinda sad).

Chelsea are a non-club. There are repugnant aspects to them plus David Baddiel but they are fundamentally a meaningless, souless entity. No one shows any loyalty to them because that's not what they are. They're just a thing. People know this, I guess everyone is just hysterically latching onto any news as bad news.

I'm not that bothered about Poch going to Chelsea, I think if we had have had JN in place it wouldn't bother a majority of our fanbase either.

Yeah. I think it was very clear at the end that he wasn't an operator. He was over-emotional and dramatic when he should have been becoming a killer. It will be interesting to see if he's evolved, PSG was a murky escapade and it's hard to judge his time there.

That's not to say I wouldn't be pleased if he returned but I wouldn't be expecting miracles. Plus football has evolved here in the meantime. The things we did best under Pochettino do not confer the same advantages now.

Good luck to Poch. I hope he's a success at Chelsea. I wish he was coming here, but I suspect Levy simply can't bear to face up to his own mistakes. Poch gave his all at Spurs and I'm sure he'll do the same for Chelsea. He deserves to succeed. I still hope he comes back to Spurs one day though. In the meantime Nagelsmann is the one I'd like to see here but I seriously doubt he'll want to take the risk.
Whyyyyyyy though????

Not for me. Couldnt give a fuck. He's just a manager and they all get the sack after a year and a half to two years so who cares.
Personally I think it'll be a car crash.

Heard it all day ‘Poch to Chelsea’ ‘Harry could join Poch’ That would be salt in the wound!
Surely Levy can see this is his opportunity to make some amends with the fans. Not every fan wanted Poch back but I bet even more would have him now rather than he goes to Chelsea.
We need something to get excited about and gazumping Chelsea before Thursdays game would be awesome!
Eat humble pie Mr Levy, pick up that phone and call Poch now! You want Harry to stay? Well this would be a good start!

Torn. Cluster fuck here tbf. I wasn’t really a big fan when he was here, as in not going to games as I now go with my son (7) obviously watched at home. I can’t see any manager working at Spurs. Sad times. Got a few Chelsea fans I know who I regularly take the piss out of for buying trophies tho and they will now have a more ammunition when he wins shit next season.

I'm not too worried about this, he was great for us at the time. Our board clearly doesn't want him. The only 2 negative things that really stuck out for me during this time with us, was his ability to beat the Big teams and a Plan B. Hopefully he has developed a better plan on this. Good luck to him.

If he'd turned us down to go to Chelsea, I'd understand some of this anger being directed towards him.

But, it seems like he's not on our list. Why should he keep waiting for us?

This is a very childish rationale for wanting a manager. It's easy for anti-Poch folks who typically have no good arguments against his return to point to silly banter-based reasons for Poch's return like this.

I think he could be a big success with us if he came back. I suspect he'll be even more effective in the PL this time around. He was the driver of incredible performance levels at Saints and Spurs when he managed them and us. And he did well at PSG despite the nonsense narrative around his time there.

If Chelsea are the beneficiaries of his next career step, then it is what it is. We don't appear to be showing interest, so it'll be important for us to find someone who might approach the levels we know he's capable of. Let alone exceed them.
