Alllright... News flash Big Slim!!

The only problem with that gift is we rarely end the window high...Welcome to Spurs' annual transfer saga:
I am counting on legalising pot by the end of the summer...The only problem with that gift is we rarely end the window high...

I’m still optimistic.
ITK suggests Ajax want an auction which is fair to them - I’d imagine Levy would do the exact same.
Which means out of the clubs linked I really just think it’s down to us and City as I’ve already highlighted that I think the Juventus link is super suspect and very unlikely.
The player wants us Ajax want City (more money). I think so long as City stay out of the range of bidding say 70mil and the price hovers around 50 I think we’ve still got a very fair shot of it working out in our favour.
Might be good might be bad! Maybe a blessing in disguise for Toby!! Oh for wishful thinking of holding to Toby!!Alasdair Gold reporting we are no longer in the running for de Ligt.

Same but in that case we had ITKs on here poo pooing the other teams being really interested and stating definitively that DS only wanted us. Here it seems like de Ligt might prefer us but would not be opposed to the other options and the interest of the other teams is very real.I nearly made a post yesterday morning about how this felt a lot like the Sanchez deal, whereas we are confident in getting him, and even at points ITK were sure we were getting him, but links kept on popping up about wealthier teams showing interest and ready to outbid us...only for us to get him anyway.
Hoping that's the case here as well!
You still on dial-up?Alasdair Gold reporting we are no longer in the running for de Ligt.
Yeah I think one of the big things in both cases is that we like both enough to bid big money. Not as much as other clubs but still enough to satisfy a large price tag.I nearly made a post yesterday morning about how this felt a lot like the Sanchez deal, whereas we are confident in getting him, and even at points ITK were sure we were getting him, but links kept on popping up about wealthier teams showing interest and ready to outbid us...only for us to get him anyway.

No I would prefer to get him in and let Toby go.Would people really rather keep Toby than get this guy?
I'd rather get de Ligt and let Toby walk. A month ago I never thought I'd say that, but that's where I am now.Would people really rather keep Toby than get this guy?
Ah I see we are now at the point in which SC engages in its yearly exercise of thinking a young, inexperienced player from a lesser league is better than a world class player. Good to see. I’ll be back when rationality re enters the thread in 2 weeks time
