If we do tie up NDombers and Lo Celso, I can genuinely see us selling Lamela, especially with Eriksen possibly staying. That would probably yield around 20 million. If we were then to sell Trips for 25-30 million, I could see us maybe playing ball with Palace on a high price and getting this deal done

Would be a dream window. Just think we likely look elsewhere as United seem pretty infatuated with him.

Yes, but though they have money and fading prestige, they’ve not really set any careers alight recently. He must, given his age, be looking at clubs with a history of developing youngsters. Pipe dream of course but I’d say Utd are less desirable than us bar maybe the wages they can offer

I think you're definitely right. I'd imagine a part of this will be how quickly we can wrap up our "first round" of deals (hopefully, like, this is a real thing) and then can move to offloading players if we need to do that to facilitate a transfer of AWB. That's where I think we will falter as it's understandable if Palace/AWB are satisfied with moving forward with United before we can really come to the table with anything.

How’s this got to 16 pages when we aren’t even in for him?

We have had solid ITK on him. Herc said we won’t spend a fortune to get him. (y)

Herc didn’t say we didn’t want him or wouldn’t try for him, just that we wouldn’t pay a ridiculous price for him.

As previously stated.

Of course Palace can demand what they want, but there’s no way we're paying way over the top for this lad.

United might be stupid enough to pay it, and yes, he's still young. But so is Max Aarons and he's performed very well this past season, albeit not in the Premier league.

Which brings me nicely on to the point that Palace's valuation is crazy considering that AWB has only one top flight season under his belt.

I'm sure we'd be interested at a realistic fee, but mugs we are not.

Aarons is the ideal candidate for me, unlikely since Norwich's promotion, but I still believe there would be more value in this signing.

£50m seems about right and fair for palace and the buyer, let’s hope we’re the buyer

It feels like he's got his heart set on Utd, but even with that...

I think the only way we could afford this is if we sold Trippier for a very good fee (i.e. £35m+). Otherwise there are too many other priorities for us

If we sell Trippier for £30m and get even as little as £15m for Aurier (but you'd think it would be closer to £20m) then we should be all over this. We'd sort out that position for years to come.

United seem the only club in for him, but as a club we must tempt him, plus he stays in London.
But yeah unlike we pay up that amount

If Trips and Aurier are moved on, i don't think 50-60m is a fortune these days.

I personally feel RB is a must improve. Top 3 priority list.

The guy has done it in the PL already - everyone from overseas is a risk for me.

Perhaps the wages required is the problem ?
