Really impressed with how much he was able to turn around, I had some concerns but he’s blown them out the water and I’m a big fan of how he balanced signing young prospects for future along with talent for the now. Interested to see how he handles the Gill situation

Paratici’s signings from Italy, Romero, Gollini, Bentancur & Kulusevski. 75% success rate, and the one that hasn’t really been a success is on loan with option, not obligation. Go with what you know Fabio, keep scouring Serie A.

I will be shocked but absolutely delighted if he manages to get Mckennie out of Juventus. After Kulu and Bentancur they can’t surely be that stupid again. He’s absolutely perfect for our midfield imo. In the Kulu Hojbjerg mould but bit more athletic and creative.

Does anyone know if it is Paratici ‘in the room’ doing the final deal? Having read comments by the likes of Steve Bruce & the presidents of Lyon and Sporting Lisbon, I get the impression that our dear chairman is not always the right person to finally get the player’s signature on the contract ?

With news today that Inter are messing us around let's hope Conte and he have the next one lined up
“Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini, writing in his column for TuttoMercatoWeb, also discuss Antonio Contes side wanting the 23-year-old this summer. He claims the Serie A side must raise around €60m to improve their economic conditions.”

i imagine Conte could fill in Paratici on the financial situation at Inter pretty well from his time there.

Wasn't there talk of Paratici appointing a No2? He seems to have a busy summer ahead, so perhaps could use a helping hand

With reports that Barcelona have got themselves in another FFP mess with La Liga I hope Paratici is watching the situation closely. Could be some potential signings there (although I appreciate this Barca side is far from vintage).

Even talk the Kessie deal could fall through. Wonder if we'd go back for him if so.

I really don't think there's much of interest there. They won't sell/they wouldn't come to us Gavi, Pedri, De Jong, Araujo, Fati... who else do they have we would want?

I wouldn't mind Memphis Depay as an attacking option. Started well and was top scorer but Xavi doesn't seem to fancy him.

Gavi still hasn’t renewed his contract yet and is getting frustrated by negotiations with Barca. He also has a 50 mil release clause. He probably doesn’t want to leave but he might. De Jong also I could see leaving purely because he’s one of the players that would command the largest fee. Not that we would have a chance at getting them, but I would love us to at least try for them.

I would love De Jong, and it seems Barca would sell but Man U are willing to pay whatever it takes so I don’t think we would bother trying to compete with them.

I think it’s exactly what we would do if they decided he was the one. Paratici isn’t going to roll over for Man Utd just because they are willing to spend. He’s just been handed 150m on top of other player sales and anything else we likely would have spent. He likes a free transfer and has already brought in Forster and Perisic. Eriksen could follow. But then he is still left with all that money and I’m not sure how most spurs fans would feel if there was an injection and we didn’t actually go ahead and actually compete for the big signings.

Having said all that, there is nothing right now to suggest we have any interest in Frenkie.

Dream CM signing for me. Would be a phenomenal addition. Obviously very very unlikely even if we were interested and he was available. But one can hope.

One thing that may be in our favour, should we choose to pursue him, is that we've been following him for some time.
Iirc, he was quite complementary about us in the past and some players seem to appreciate when clubs have a long-standing interest in them.

If it's a release clause, why not... Smack the money on the table. Ideally with some, and if you don't take this, we but your top priorities.. Loads a money style..
OK. Nah. We have no chance on gavi.
Do agree with this re de jong

And, would be a monumental signing....
