100% - but it just seems that we've left ourselves with a lot to do in 3 weeks.

However, I don't claim to know how Paratici operates. So maybe we already have signings lined up and are just waiting on when we want to confirm them.
It could well be that Fabio and Levy will have a few 'launch' buttons to press once Kane is done and dusted. There's no way Fabio has just been sitting on his bum the past week or two waiting, like all of us, to see how the Levy/Guardiola shootout ends.

No I equate the fact that nothing has happened with nothing happening
May I respectfully ask how you know nothing has happened ? Just because some things are prevented from hitting the media headlines with a loud bang does not mean inactivity.

Because we haven't signed any more players yet

Again with respect, how do you know that ? Just because no announcements have been made does not mean deals haven't been done. We could well have quite a few transfers simply waiting to be signed but held up until the Kane situation is clarified and we know exactly what and who we need. Wait and see how we are fixed on August 31st and then give us your opinion. Wheels are in motion but they are well oiled and not loudly squeaking to the press.

Not yet we haven’t, but let’s not forget how quickly a transfer can be done when it needs to be. Especially if a lot of the groundwork is already done.
In some cases, we might just be literally waiting to sign off the paperwork, or effectively hitthe “Go” button.
Gil was done quite quickly and largely came out of left field.
Ings to Villa seemed to break and was done pretty much at the same time. At the time of his signing, I don’t believe Villa forums even had a thread on him.

If we felt we needed to get a player tomorrow in a do or die situation, I think we’d be able to have it done.
Whether that’s in the best interests of the club or not, I don’t know.

I think we have quite a few deals that are all around the “90-95% completed” mark and we are deciding which ones to execute or represent good value based on our needs, which do change. Also consider that those deals may be hamstrung or drawn out by other clubs dragging their heels over players that we want out.

I'm kind of being facetious and tongue in cheek to be honest I understand how these things go.

Although, the season starts Sunday with games coming thick and fast from then and all points count. The teams who we are potentially challenging with have pretty much done their business

Those teams only needed to add a player or two. We're essentially rebuilding a squad. Not really comparable.

Glad the situation is finally being resolved. I look forward to seeing Fabio's plans play out now, in this year 1 AP (Anno Paratici) of our post-Kane era.

A lot of doom and gloom around following the news yesterday and understandably so.

But....

Unless something has changed from my conversation the other day with my source, we're going to be just fine, in fact our squad is going to be A LOT stronger than it was and that's even without one of the best strikers in the world.

I genuinely couldn't feel anymore relaxed knowing who is going to have the money to spend. He won't get every signing right but the guy has an amazing track record at building successful squads and I genuinely believe he will do the same with us.

That's really not what some people want to hear Hotspur88.

It's the 13th today which could mean FABio Friday or more Kane chaos. I have a feeling things are finally nearing completion but can't see much happening until weekend.
I'd sincerely like to be wrong of course and get a couple of deals announced before bedtime.

At a minimum we need two strikers and a CB. Ideally a lot more. I'm not feeling overly confident after yesterday's news

The news is becoming more like the weather forecast every day regarding our transfer dealings. Fabio is excellent at producing media fog but I'm sure as the end of the month approaches the skies will become very much clearer.

Dragons news not inspiring. We can only judge where we are at at this moment and in limbo until city decide they want to buy Kane.
Other interest now in Martinez and Vhalovic hope city don’t fuck us over so we miss out on these two.
we need to stop hanging around and start making moves. Act like a big club like we pretend we want to be

Why talk so much sense when......we are doomed!

I posted similar in the new stadium thread, but know a lot of you stopped venturing over to that corner of the site once the stadium was opened.

In October alone we have 2 x NFL games and a sold out (60k) Anthony Joshua fight (average ticket price is in the hundreds of pounds). The income from food and beverages alone for these three events should significantly surpass the £1M we do on match days. It could be that in October alone we make £5M+ from non-football related activities (with the rental fee of the stadium and a % of ticket sales as well as food and beverages). We also have confirmed we're hosting of the Rugby League cup final next year. Countless concerts to follow I imagine. With a pending naming rights deal, the new Getir partnership and potential training kit sponsorship,

Paratici should have a lot of funds to play with moving forwards! Here's to a fab friday!
