That was annoying on commentary Friday as well when he said this is the last chance of silverware. I know it's an outside chance but it's not impossible. At least Ange has that mentality to keep fighting for it. We are getting players back now in good time so there's a chance we could rack up a run of wins. Then who knows.

Instilling that unrelenting belief in players is one thing, but he's starting to instill it in fans too.

I hate the fuckers but Liverpool fans are a great example of that belief in their team, even when they were shit.

Proper patronising how all and sundry make this amazing scum team champions elect after one decent season yet we are laughed at. If we win tonight we are three points off them with the home NLD to come ffs! Ange knows the score.

Nailed the difference between why Ange could be a success with us and why our fans love him compared to why Conte was never going to be a success with us and why our fans and some of the squad didn't take to him.

Great share.

It’s moronic by him because he starts that clip saying that everytime the players arrive a big game they bottle it.. which I’m sure did their morale wonders, but to then laugh to yourself and say it’s silly to suggest we could be title contenders…. How on earth does this apparently ‘elite’ coach think that those words were going to change that mentality?

So glad those dark days are gone and that cretinous dinosaur can be someone else’s problem.

He wanted everyone to believe that anything remotely decent was a miracle of his making. Unfortunately for him, most of what he served up was complete shite and everyone knew who was responsible.

Undoubtedly massive credit goes to Ange for the turnaround after HT.

Big calls taking both Skipp and Bentancur off for Hojbjerg and Johnson as he could have easily left it 60 odd mins to make the change but fair play, it paid dividends.

Top managers make bold calls, well done Ange.

First half had his pants pulled down second half pulled Frank’s pants down
I don't know if he had his pants pulled down so much as the players responded to Brentford's shenanigans, lost focus and really had no tempo after the first 15-20 minutes.

We were a bit fortunate today because of our sloppy play, but think of what this man has done. He has had half a team missing for half of the season, he has had to change our philosophy overnight and we are a team in the early stages of a massive rebuild.

yes we making silly mistakes but we also play some fabulous football and we are 4th in the table with a third of the season to go with a squad that still has to get back to full fitness in the next few weeks. Ange has far and away exceeded anything i could have hoped for this season.

Yell it again for the people in the back. Pisses me off every time our players get wound up so easily. Season on season, hopefully he drills this into these players (and better yet, the players wise up and grow up on their own). The day our players laugh off a wind up attempt and start consistently bullying teams WITH FOOTBALL, is the day I'll feel we're ready to battle on all fronts consistently.

Exactly what I said at HT.

I don't think we are helped by refs letting opposing players get away with it but we need to learn to be smarter.

Up until Brentford's second chance we were all over them.

Then they started to really rattle us and we let it get to us.

This encouraged them to do it more and we stopped playing football and it got quite frantic.

We did the same against Chelsea and West Ham. Got dragged into stuff we didnt need to.

City or Liverpool would not have set into that territory and keep their cool to focus on the goal.

I am certain had we done that, we would have got the first goal and had a more comfortable night.

The team talk didnt need to be a galvanising one or a dressing down, just needed a refocus.

We need to pick this up fast because all teams now approach us this way.

Everton will do the same

Great to see Donley get on ahead of Gil.
I felt back in December that Ange didnt want to play the youngsters with us having such a mish mash team out as there is not as much guidance and stability on the pitch.

By putting Donley on first, I am hoping this is the case and we see more of him

This guy is so inspirational, every press conference is engaging, he has instilled an energy that simply wasn't there with previous managers (poch aside)

I'd be willing to bet money at half time he used Maupay's celebration as an example of them trying to get in your head and respond by playing football as they all looked so fire up but in the right way.

Didn't know much about him before he joined but he's quickly becoming a football personality I will follow regardless of whether he is our manager or not.

the only thing I don't like is that dragusin sub, we lose so much control and we can't keep the ball for shit when it happens

It should work in theory but it really doesn't imo, going 3 at the back

What was the option when Maddison had to be subbed?

Agree in terms of not liking the sub/change in set up but think it was more down to lack of options than anything
