He really can't look an interviewer in the eye, can he? Is it a confidence thing, or is he just trying to hide his contempt for the media?
He looks them directly in the eye while listening to their question and again once he's answered it, but not in between. I think it's just how he composes his thoughts while coming up with the answers, which are always ... sort of, kind of ...very considered and careful.

IF we get Dragusin over the line and in the door signed sealed and delivered then credit our recruitment team and Don Fabio but also huge credit to Ange for convincing him and also it would just show how much of a huge difference it makes having a Manager who has a clear and importantly realistic plan as to how he wants to shape the squad and then we go out and execute it.

With Jose & Conte (lets not even mention Nuno), it always felt like there wasn't really a proper plan for building the squad and/or Daniel didn't want to properly back what Jose & Conte wanted because he probably feared that at some point it would implode. They were both likely asking for players with huge transfer fees, huge wages and players who were on the older end of the age scale, none of which really line-up with how we want to be as a club.

When ENIC took over in 2001, the squad was quite old, we'd wasted a lot of money on the likes of Les Ferdinand etc under Sugar, I think man in the raincoat also signed Sherwood and our squad age got older under Hoddle with signings like Zeige, Poyet, Sheringham etc and it all fell apart.

ENIC then switched to a model of signing young players who we could develop and also who had sell on value and we worked like that pretty much for the next 15-20 years, then when Jose & Conte came in they really both value 'experience' and I just think the fees and wages and ages of the players they wanted plus the emotional tantrums and games they'd play to try and get what they wanted wasn't a good fit at all to work with someone like Levy.

Levy then hires Ange who completely 'gets it', he is actually willing to coach and improve players and to fit them into his system and so we can go back to signing young talented players and Ange is also assertive enough that he is able to ask for the players to be signed early in the window and guess what this time around Levy has stepped back but he has obliged because Ange isn't asking for £70million defenders, he's ok to sign a £25-30mill 21yr old who he can coach and develop or a creative clever loan for a very good player in Werner who Ange believes he can get back to his old form.

Don't get me wrong, Ange isn't settling for N'Jie's and N'Koudou's, these are very good players we are signing but the difference is they're young and they're not costing the earth so in exchange for that Ange is being rewarded with earlier signings.

I'd also add that Paratici's influence has been great and we now have a solid scouting network and recruitment structure which makes it all easier, under Mitchell etc it all seemed a bit of a mess tbh.

But my point is although the scouts identify the potential players and the Director of Football and Chairman tend to broker the deals along with agents etc, the MANAGER has a huge huge influence on all of this running smoothly as everyone and everything needs to align or at least work in reasonable harmony.

Ange has been Levy's best managerial hire hands down for so so many reasons, we have beautiful winning football and we have a manager with a clear and realistic vision for building the squad in his image.

Happy days.

How we've progressed since this. Proper Vibes FC now instead of "Bunch of c*nts FC" like these last few years.

Haven't felt this good about the club, the team, or the manager since 16/17. Massive kudos to Ange, Fabio & the rest. Even Levy.

Said the same in the Werner thread> He is going for it!

Dragusin & Werner will plug immediate n key gaps and when players are back, vastly improve squad depth

Very amazed that our recruitment team
Is delivering what ange wants,🤞, without costing a bomb too
Not that difficult when everyone is on the same page, and you haven't got numerous I'll informed people all deciding they know the best direction to go in.

Rose’s contempt at being left out, Eriksen’s snigger…. Made my day.

Can we discuss the alternative world where Arne Slot doesn’t sign a new deal? Scares me to think about

Wouldn't trade Ange for anyone, but nothing to say Slot wouldn't have been great either. Feyenoord are doing well in Eredivisie again this year, it's just that PSV being absolutely outrageous with 16 wins in 16 so far is why Feyenoord and Slot aren't talked about as much as last year.

So Levy has ousted himself and I can close that other thread that I started? Seriously though, great if we are now finally working as a multi billion pound business should.

Everyone watch the training video. Ange can do the smallest thing like make a speech here and make you smile and go that’s my manager. So far away from the conte disaster.

Anyone have info on whether the team will have some sort of "warm weather training" after the United game? There's 12 days to til FA Cup game

Pontins in Prestatyn has closed down, so I’m not sure they’ll get somewhere else at this short notice.

I think Ange is just the tonic we needed but I also think Slot would be doing a really good job. I hope Ange is here for many many years tbh as he’s such a good fit but if / when he no longer is then I’d love us to reconsider Slot, he’s also a great fit in terms of style of play and personality.

De Zerbi for example plays lovely football but not such a good personality fit for us as Ange and Slot imo.

Anyway bloody glad we got Ange :)

Are those people (the ones in Levy's ear) now out of the picture?

I honestly can’t believe the difference in feeling of supporting our club right now compared to the peak of the toxicity just before Nuno got fired and when it all collapsed under Conte.

There were points where I wasn’t sure I’d actually enjoy supporting Spurs again for many years, it was just so horrible and rotten in so many ways but Ange + new signings (credit Fabio & co) + Levy stepping back from the football side a bit and it’s like we are supporting a totally different club, we are all so happy and positive, even with many ups and downs still included like the weekly hamstring injuries 😅 but that aside it’s just utterly fantastic and Tottenham is such a huge part of a lot of our lives I’m buzzing that we truly do “have our Tottenham back”.

Thank you Ange.
