I know. That was so weird, as I was about to say I ref a game that is son plays in. But everytime I tried to write his Happy Days name, it defaulted to Paulo. Odd.
In case no one saw this….

My mate who runs the game I ref, was on LWOS today and dropped this beauty!!

Props to Henry’s son for getting his pops to do this. I hope Ange responds. 😊😂😊

To think:

3 months ago this man arrived in North London.

He had no connections to the club, or players, the league, or even the country.

He had no coaching staff he was bringing with him.

The entire club was in disarray - many supporters openly revolting against ownership.

The club's best player wanted out.

The long-serving club captain wanted out.

In those 3 short months, he has completely transformed the atmosphere around the club. He has transitioned the old leadership out, and forged a new leadership group. He has replaced the all-time leading scorer, with a squad mentality where every player feels important, and instrumental in Spurs scoring. He has taken a club in disarray and turned the squad into a team that believes in each other, individually, and collectively. He has given supporters hope.

At some point the honeymoon period will end. We will hit a rough patch. But, he has well and truly earned his pay for what he has accomplished already. The next step is to figure out if we can continue to improve before the league figures us out. I am betting that Ange will find those improvements.

Not to put a damper on a good outcome, but I was really disappointed with the lack of a plan B today. At 11v9 in particular, it was painful to watch us try the exact same attacking pattern over and over again, whilst ignoring the very obvious path to success of having the fullbacks overload the flank instead of invert to an already crowded middle. In the end Porro found himself in that position almost on accident and it generated our goal. But the fact that we didn't have any kind of a second idea to our play or any ability to adapt the style for the circumstance was a bit worrying / disappointing from more of a long term outlook.

Again, not really meant to be pessimistic or anything. I'm very happy to beat Liverpool, and I don't think it's necessarily easy to play against 9 men. Just feel we have one style at the moment and the best teams can adapt a bit more. Still early days so maybe that has something to do with it.
Let them learn to walk before they are ready to run. It’s a learning curve under Ange. Give them time. 🕰️

Heyyyyyyyy

You gotta love the Sky Sports montage of smiling Spurs faces - players, fans, Ange et al (Richy kinda, of course) to the "Happy Days" tune.

Long may it continue!

I can't be the only one who is excited for the day he opens a Cameo account so he can send me a personalized half time speech for those days where I forget how good I can be.

Honestly couldn't be happier with how things have gone these past 3 months. What an appointment Ange has turned out to be.

I dont know if it is just me thinking this but Ive never seen or heard our fanbase so united and passionate before. Even the Poch era where we were going for the league etc. There is just a different feel atm and one Ive never felt before.

Just as cool as a cucumber and just an absolute superstar. Only regret is that there was no naked knee slide in front of the gurner yesterday. Would have topped things off nicely.

I love him. Kinda wish we'd sing as many chants about the team as we do the manager though. It just seemed like non-stop Ang chants yesterday :ROFLMAO:

Heard someone behind me last night say in the ground "there's a buzz around the stadium that we haven't experienced since the lane".

Think that sums it up. Some job he's doing.

The club was toxic and what he’s done in only a few months is nothing short of amazing, still a long way to go but what a job. Love the bloke.

Well you have to remember that none of Perisic, Johnson or Gil were available.

We needed to stretch the block yet the only options Ange had were Veliz and Solomon.

2 young players who prefer to cut in.

Against Sheff Utd, Ange brought on Perisic and had him hug the left with Udogie making underlaps.

He had Johnson hug the right with Deki going inside and staying there.

Those changes led to Johnson's disallowed goal and us then winning the game cause we started to really stretch them.

We didnt have those options and all Ange could do was bring on more midfielders.

Son and Maddison were also carrying niggles which further limited us.

We quite simply were left with not many options to go around them and stretch them

The obvious change that should've been made, after the reds, was to sent the fullbacks on overlaps wide and deep instead of midfield. For once I agree with Neville about something, he was talking about this last night. A lot of what we do generally, is overload the middle to create passing opportunities on the flanks. Against 9 men, we needed to do the opposite. Overload the sides and switch it quickly to unsettle and open them up.
