They have until 8 tonight to buy the ticket or face having their ST suspended for the derby. Apparently season ticket holders are forced in to the scheme as there is no opt-out except for the Capital One cup, and you must purchase your ticket or miss the following home game. What a horrible scheme to have shoved on you ! What if you can only just afford the season ticket ? Do you miss a few home games, for which you've paid, because you can't afford the cup tickets ?

They also want to carry the scheme, and the prices (!) over should they make the Europa League.

I don't like this one bit but if they are the terms under which you buy a season ticket at Old Trafford you can have no complaints - you know the score when you purchase it.

They have 75,000 seats to fill for a tie in which they're 0-2 down and likely to go out.

Assuming those were the rules at the time you purchased.

My mate's been a ST holder there for 20 years, his Dad for 40 or more. I am pretty sure those were not part of the T's and C's when they took them up!

Frankly... If i were a man utd fan, i would want to be there for the champions league tie... If they make it through, it's gonna be one of those "I was there" moments...

And if they lose, will chant "Moyes out"

Win-Win!

United's season is very much like Chelsea's when they won the CL. Change of managers to someone who is meant to be a very good manager, start sucking ass in the league, get out the group stages of the CL, just to lose by two goals away from home in the 1st leg. We all know what happened after that, Chels win 4-1 against Napoli, go through, get jammy, win CL. Could it be a repeat?

I dont think Many you have the talent through out the squad like Chelsea did for it to happen again.

I feel sorry for all those Man United fans. They'll have to travel all the way from Putney, Richmond and Chiswick to Manchester on a Tuesday night for a game they really don't want to see.

If anything, Yanited are doing their fans a favour. We can't call them fair weather fans if they do go and if they don't go they're principled fighters against modern football.

Surely if the fans choose not to buy tickets for Olympiakos game and there-in forfeit their ticket for the derby, then Old Trafford will have lots of empty seats for both games!?? Technically they can't sell a ticket that's already sold!
Surely a season ticket pays for the league games and then anything else is charged on top, therefore they can't ban people from using a ticket they've already paid for.....

No they sell it again and you can apply for refund, and here's the best bit, at the end of the season ! They're banking on people forgetting and getting double bubble for a seat. Money grabbing wankers.

Would be amusing so long as it were Liverpool and not us in fourth (or better still Arsenal) losing out on CL as a result and keeping Moyes in a job

Will never happen though - Man U are not as solid as Chelsea, they don't have the foundation or the work rate and desire to do what Chelsea did (may have been put down to luck but there was much more to that Chelsea cup run and Man U don't have it in them IMO)
