Decent performance felt a draw would have benn the right result but we should a lot of determination tonight. We looked a little awkward against their set up at times but as the game went on we looked a better composed team

Still in the learning curve so not downhearted

We are coming to get everyone

We matched them and we were away. Poch didn't want to change things, we looked stronger. The crowd were quiet, they knew we were in the game.
The substitutes made the difference and gave them a slight edge.
Damn it!

They were better than us simple. More 2nds and more desire. Should of took a look at who was fatigued after sat. Mason rose and eriksen looked fucked

Davies from what I have seen is not as good as rose, our defending tonight wAs fucking woeful, their third goal was laughable, you could see that ibe was gonna slip it through the gap for lallana and where he then slid the ball was the only place ballotelli could score, need to work on basic positioning and decision making cos it was tripe tonight!!

you seem almost pleased that we lost? Even the defeat doesn't validate your insipid insights.

I'm happy that my team lost? Get a fucking grip mate, what a childish post. Yeah suggesting we should rotate the team what horrible thoughts I have

Nip and tuck all game just went their way in the end, some you win some you lose.
Same lino gave the Sturridge penalty didn't give the one on Kane but shit happens.

It was a fucking great game.

Christ just because we lose to a team in form...
If by great you mean two teams incapable of passing the ball accurately and retaining possession so that the game was end to end then yes.

Personally I think it lacked quality.

Paulinho scapegoating is hilarious. It can be tough when you haven't played much all season & you're suddenly plonked onto the field with 10 minutes to go at Anfield & given the responsibility of spearheading the midfield.

We lost because Eriksen was abysmal, Lamela was pretty poor, and the Mason/Bentaleb pairing is weak.

Looked a little mentally tired out there, lots of concentration errors but still a work in progress. Back to back big games within days take their toll

4mins wtf, I spent at least 5 mins watching Walker touching his chin on the floor

And Liverpool wasted at least another 60 seconds with that weird circle jerk at the end. Fat Scouse **** Dowd only played an extra 20 seconds.

Paulinho's fault again?

He wasn't even on the pitch for the first 2 goals and I can't see how the 3rd is his fault. I give up.

I don't think people should be blaming him specifically, but it was a strange sub. He's not a forward player at all and isn't that great defensively, so I wish I could hear an explanation from Poch. Why he made that move with all of our attackers clearly waning and needing freshness in pace and energy is just beyond me.

We need to throw in pace in situations like these, not another sideways passing central midfielder and Chadli who despite his great assets is just not a quick winger. We remain just so poor at running into space when it's afforded us.

Replace a few squad players and we'll be up there next season. I'd be happy to see Carroll and Pritchard come back and Paulinho leave.

My MOTM.

To think 90% this forum were happy to get rid of him.

Can only think of a handful on here who were vocally against it

He's one of my favourite players but even I was losing faith in the fact the last 2 years had sucked the life out of him.

SO HAPPY the Mouse has returned.

Lamela was useless today apart from the assist. I'm so fed up with him overcomplicating everything. PLAY THE EASY BALL JUST ONCE!

The Golden Child will get better, he just needs a few seasons under his belt. Please be patient and do not write negative things about him in here.

Feel free though to blast away at Paulinho ................;)

Rather like the game after the Chel$ea win.

Yep, we seem to get on too much of a high when we beat these top teams instead of moving on straight away. I know it's emotional when we beat the top teams but the real top teams win the big games and then forget it straight away and focus on the next game.

Not sure how far away Yedlin is but I was disappointed with both our fullbacks today, too many stupid decisions. You can get away with one or two but not so many in one game. Just played like they were brain dead at times.

Worst loss in a long time, because we absolutely gave Liverpool the win. We just gifted goals and chances and Pochettino looked like santa claus today. We actually looked good when we attacked in their final third, but the rest was garbage.
