We could have won comfortably against Palace if we'd continued the way we started and not fallen back thereby restricting the number of chances we created. We must not do the same against Liverpool, at the moment they still have their best strikers so why play to their strengths and defend? We should play on their weaknesses, at the moment it's their defence, so we should attack. Our defence will still be strong.
If we create chances we'll score them.

I hate them only a little less than I love Tottenham. I will never forget the champions league final as much as I try to the memories are scarred on to my brain. Please if there is a god let us win this one, it’s been due for some time.

Always hate this fixture. I can only remember one victory at Anfield, a 2-0 win which was a dead rubber if I recall
I hate this fixture too, they seem to have a hold over us that means most of the time, no matter how well we play they get something out of the game. The Wembley 4-0 aside of course.

Their centreback situation,at the moment,is in crisis mode. We have to play with our speed on the wings to stretch their fullbacks.Their central defence will disintegrate.

Thats how Poch failed nearly each game against them.

If we play attack vs attack, they have all the quality, space and pace in the world to beat us.

Manchester City or Chelseas strength is attacking as well, how has that worked out for them?

I think its important that we look all the time dangerous on the counter. Give them the ball, stay close to make it hard for them to break us down, and try to get Kane and Son in quick transitions in promising positions.

So you're saying the complete opposite to me ?.
Not suggesting a cavalry charge but if we pressure that defence at the moment they'll break.

If you look back at all their home fixtures this season Jota has scored in nearly all of them.

They'll miss him for sure.

4-3-3 against Liverpool. Speed and width.

Wouldn't surprise me if Mourinho did something weird like 3-4-3. We need pace at the back as well as stability so maybe Sanchez/Rodon as a sweeper.

Not saying he'd do it but

Lloris

Toby
Sanchez/Rodon
Dier

Aurier
Hojbjerg
Ndombele/GLC
Reguilon

Bergwijn/Moura
Kane
Son

might get at them a bit.

2011 van der Vaart screamer and Modric penalty?

I remember being there. One of my rather rare away trips.

Really hope we can get a result. That would be a statement.

I think some of you are wildly optimistic in terms of how we'll approach this game.

It'll be same XI that featured against City, Chelsea and Arsenal and much like Chelsea, we'll be happy with a 0-0 which keeps parity with Liverpool leaving us still top on goal difference and I for one will gladly take that in the circumstances.

I look at their midfield of Henderson, Jones and Wijnaldum and feel we should be able to compete with the players we have. Add to that their defensive issues I think we have a strong chance of getting something there. Of course they have a phenomenal home record but even that had to end at some point. Why not us?

Henderson may have to play as a makeshift CB given their injury worries at the back.

If Leicester win they'd be top in that scenario, but I get your point.

The problem for Leicester (and more specifically Brendan Rodgers) is that February, March, April and May exist. I wont care if they go top in the week, as long as we don't lose. We can go back above Leicester at the weekend!
