Lineker is arguably one of the most famous CF's to play the game.

I've always felt that strikers are the one position where rating them is not really about their all-round game. Heskey probably had a better all-round game than Owen but I know who I'd rather have.

Lineker was a consistently excellent goalscorer, one season playing on the right for Barca aside, from the age of 20 to 31 before he got injured.

I started supporting Spurs in 1990 and would probably favour Lineker as the number 9 in my best Spurs XI during that time.
