James Maddison and Tottenham Hotspur. It just feels right, as acknowledged by our new signing as he tried on our famous white shirt for the first time following his arrival from Leicester City on Wednesday.

Sounds like he’s absolutely buzzing to be here.

On Ange:

whether you come or not, you’re going to see a completely different Spurs team under me’, and that kind of stuck with me that he said that.

Damnit, all aboard the hype train.

In other words, there will be carnage.

I'll be honest and say I had held some resentment towards Maddison for the things he said about Spurs, I realised a while ago before he joined the hypocrisy in that in relation to how I'd like to be treated if in a similar spot. Glad I figured it out before we was even linked this summer so it's not just justifying it to myself. Either way I think when this sort of situation happens, you have to let them do their talking through their actions. I think he's said a lot of good things, I think he looks genuine about it but ultimately he will prove himself by how he plays for us and judging from how he's handled himself last few days, I'm very confident he will show his affection for Spurs on the pitch with some fantastic football.

If all 20/21 year olds were given the freedom to tweet what they liked there would be absolute carnage online. Most people are a bit thick at that age, footballers probably more so.

We're all entitled to be immature and silly at some point, and we all learn the same lessons if we're lucky enough to mature. I actually place some blame on his club for not managing his media training at the time. Young players need to be protected, from themselves as much as anything.

It's what he does from now on that he should be judged on. He's had enough time to learn this since. I wouldn't be impressed if he was to start slagging off, say, arsenal players now like he did Bale once. I want to like spurs players so what they put on social media matters. We've always been better than certain other London clubs in this regard.

Bit more than the usual sound bites from a new signing, he’s giving a good impression imo. Hopefully his talk of hunger & desire transfers onto the pitch as we’ve been severely lacking that.
