Loads of clubs have awful record signings. Look at Man Utd....spent £185m on Veron, DiMaria and Pogba.

Chelsea £126m on Torres, Shevchenko and Batshuayi, then add £53m on for the likes of Wright Phillips and Cuadrado into the bargain.

Liverpool £39m on Benteke then add in Carroll for £35m, Downing for £20m, Markovic for £21m etc.

Every club has them. The great thing is our academy players are making the grade. Not many at other clubs seem to be.

Yes but if those clubs blow 45m on one player it means fk all, they just go buy another one.
We can't do that so we need to get it right when we do go large.
