Love this.

Now, there is part of me that wonders how quickly a man who didn't train for the last 8 years of his career will remember how training sessions are run :D

Great to see a top servant of the club still involved. Let's hope he excels as a coach

Well pleased for Ledley, although I do wonder how good a coach he can become, simply because he was such a naturally gifted player.

Mind you, if he is only half as good as a coach as he was a player, then he will become an incredible coach.

Nice to see him get a role, I wonder if people will be as happy if Defoe, Lennon or Dawson get a coaching role at the club when they retire.

there are a few really talented defenders at the club Cater vickers and mMaghoma are two very talented lads who are very very young playing for the under 18's

It was his mental understanding of the game that made him so good though, even after his physical body was struggling. So I think there's a decent chance he would make a good coach teaching others how to think like a better defender.

Fantastic news, if a true legend like Ledley can't inspire the next crop of talent to be successful at the highest level then nobody can. He should prove a big draw for any aspiring young centre halves on the spurs radar.

Those players were never considered great players and interestingly they were known for their lack of thinking at times. Though if they are great coaches then fair enough go ahead sign them up.

Great players don't necessarily make great coaches, in fact the best coaches, Ferguson, Mourinho, Wenger, were not great players.

Those are managers not coaches and whilst your point is valid. Great players do have an advantage in coaching if they have the brains to pass their knowledge on.

Learning the training techniques off George graham played a big part for Ledley and the old arsenal defence, if he could pass on that knowledge to the kids then it would be hugely beneficial.

I'm happy for him and I'm happy he's involved in the club more, but I'm not sure how he will do to be honest. He doesn't seem the most articulate and his greatest strength was something you probably can't teach, it will be interesting to say the least. But wasn't big bad Brad teaching that age group? I'm sure I saw a video of a youth game with him on the sidelines? Maybe it was younger? Or he might've been doing this scheme mentioned in the article on the OS.

It's neither true either way.
Two of the best at the moment were fantastic players - Pep, and Ancelotti. Simeone was pretty handy too.

Ledley out-thought those he went against, that sort of thing is gold for a defender and is a great attribute for a coach. Also, I've noticed alot of great coaches used to be a defender or a defensively minded player, our own leader was a CB.

Well done ledders. Great to have him still involved and as some one said, working with our young defenders could b priceless.
