The only time Jesus is a good option is if you’ve chosen to find god. Gabriel Jesus is bang average, so much so that Pep would rather play any number of midfield players up front rather than him.
I’m sure I’ve seen a quote from pep where he said he’d play a gk and 10 midfielders if he could so I wouldn’t read too much into Jesus not playing that much under him

Simple solution to our striker problem is Kane stays and getting one more. Yeah he’s been a massive disloyal tosser but there’s no doubting his ability.

Scamacca wouldn't be a bad shout. Juve were apparently interested in him when Fabio was there.

I confess, I knew nothing about him until a couple of days ago. But I watched one of his youtube compilations (yes, I know...) and I was impressed by his all round game. I had assumed that, at 1.95m, he wouldn't be very mobile. But that isn't the case at all. He is quite quick and, more importantly, has quick feet. He also works very hard and scores all manner of goals. We could do a lot worse.

If Atleti beat us to Vlahovic, or Fiorentina want silly money for him, Scamacca would be a decent alternative for a lot less money.

What's the lad at lazio like . Correa is it? Seen half of Europe linked with him this summer. Is he a poor man's Martinez?

Joaquin Correa is not good at all. He is not a finisher, not a playmaker forward. He is more like a “defensive forward” to me. Anytime Argentina used Correa in Copa America, it was only when Argentina needed to defend, not score.

I like En-Nesyri at Sevilla… also still young but he’s been banging goals in for the last couple of seasons.
Like him too.

Think there are a lot of players who could do an excellent job for us.

En-Nesyri, Ocampos, Oyarzabal (if we're chucking 80m around).

The leagues are full of decent forwards, even if they're not traditional number 9s.

I don't want this to flame out but if we're going to splurge 80 million on a question mark from the bottom of serie A or ligue 1 who maybe isn't a complete number nine but has some nine-like qualities, why wouldn't be going for Zaha again? Prime? EPL Proven? Homegrown? Would be desperate to leave Palace? Is the obsession with sell-on value really going to make us that short-sighted here?
