and O' Hara is not more skilfull. Im sorry I am trying not to get angry with your ignorance but if you have genuinely meant that statement then I would suggest you start supporting a different sport, because you appear to have no fathom of what constitutes skill.

Passing to your team-mate is a more important skill than any amount of drag-backs or stepovers.

So I would suggest that you have evidently missed something which would negate how highly rated he is by the club and two of the best clubs in the world.

Not on his appearances so far you wouldn't - if that's the conclusion people wish to make, then in the short space of time he's rarely impressed.

I don't think he's a disgrace, he's been inconsistently average. The odd moment of good stuff, coupled with moments of madness, Hollywood balls and over-the-top tackling.

Yes he may look great with all his tattoos and his 'tude, but that doesn't pass a football round the pitch does it? And there is absolutely no reason why Jamie O'Hara should not start the next game - and bravo to him. He's been absolutely fantastic, and it finally feels like we've got "one of our own" in the team (despite the fact he's a Gooner academy reject).

He's seized his chance by the balls and I fully expect him to line up next to JJ for the next game.

Lassana Diarra is twice the Ghaly and three times the Prince.

He's also considerably younger than Ghaly!

Would of been a great buy and slotted in with Jenas perfectly

Gutted he went to Pompey but im sure it wasnt purely just because the scum wouldnt sell to us

"The people at Portsmouth know I will not spend my life at this club."

"If I shine, if a really big club wants me, I know already that everything will go well."

Not at my Tottenham you fucking don't, Diarra. And that's why I'm glad we didn't pursue too fervently.

DG - he's not the faultless physical specimen cos if he was he would be a model or an experiment, not a footballer, and the reason i call him slow is because he is slow! Tony Gardener - at one point was running 100m amongst the best in his age group and was all poised to represent England at junior level in athletics. He decided to pick football instead - now he can tear it up, top speed but, stick a football at his feet, he loses 3 or 4 yards instantly.

Equally, you say fantastic stamina? Then why was he blowing out of his arse by the time he came off? Anyway, what difference does it make if he can run all day, slow fast, whatever, if his first touch is bad and his passing abysmal?

You go on about him having lovely feet - well, i know other people who like having their nuts stapled to tables and electrodes on their nipples - i guess feet is just another fetish, but i can't see how it has any bearing on this discussion, how pretty his feet are

He may well become the greatest player ever to yank on a shirt but, as of right now, he's misusing his talents and is on the verge of becoming a liability if he doesn't start playing as part of a team.

As soon as Zoko is back, my guess is KPB back to the bench, to either sort out his on-pitch attitude or start playing regularly for the ressies to learn that at Spurs you need to earn your place.

You don't get to wear the shirt just cos you have pretty feet :|

What other reason do you suspect then?

The other possible reason could be that Comolli was well aware that Diarra is a Grade A arsehole and decided not to bother. It's hilarious that Diarra reckons a 'big club' will come in for him. Two of the biggest have already, and he's pissed both of them off. Muppet.

He does need a big club, but not the kind he's thinking of.

What other reason do you suspect then?

The other reason could be money, especially that ridiculous sum (£90k pw ffs) Fat Sam was allegedly willing to pay him. Before Ashley opted for the "dream team" of Kevin Keegan and Dennis Wise...

Even if it was only £60k pw, it may be that we were not prepared to bust our wages structure for Diarra.

NB 'Arry is definitely chucking Gaydamek's money around before he fecks off to some other laundry. I bet Defoe got a serious salary increase for joining Pompey...

He may have potential but he is certainly not coming anywhere near it. Its obvious that Ramos seen us winning on satuarday easily as he rested Berby and gave KPB a chance to impress against the worst team in the premiership. Fact of the matter is he didnt impress! From what ive seen of Ramos you either shape up and show wot you have your your gone! So unless he improves id say it will be bye bye.

sarcasm aside, this is a very good post and an exemplary piece which shows the very best of spurscommunity. You have stated your opinion rationally and I fully respect your argument. This constructive criticism I find only useful to debates and therefore . I merely take umbridge with the people who call Boateng "shit" and "a disgrace" after 11 matches in the english game, and with clear flashes of class.

It's obvious that since KPB's made 19 appearances under Ramos, Ramos knows fuck all. Ramos out.

Whether he was "young german player of the year" or not, Sevilla AND Real Madrid wanted the kid in the summer and Ramos keeps playing him. So I would suggest that you have evidently missed something which would negate how highly rated he is by the club and two of the best clubs in the world.
Couldn't give a monkeys what others have said about him in the past. As with Zamora and Rebrov, its what you do in the Spurs shirt that counts. Nothing else.

I've seen KBP play week in week out for Spurs this season and he's been average at best each time.

I can't believe people are saying that O'Hara, the shittest passer of the ball ever, is better than Boateng. Give Boateng the 7 years of English football experience that O'Hara has, and he'll be infinitely better than O'Hara ever could hope of being.

You bunch of racists.

I think Ramos will give KPB and Darren Bent as much playing time as possible, until the end of the season to prove their worth, otherwise they could be sold.
I would love both of them to be successful for us but if they continue playing to their current standard we will need to replace them and I think the club will lose a mountain of cash, which none of us wants to see happen.

With respect , Sevilla and Real Madrid cannot have wanted him badly enough to actually get him .

He's only 20 , although we paid 8m for Dawson and Reid I can't believe we would have paid 5-6m on KPB on the basis of what we have seen so far , there must be more to come .

How badly did Zokora suck when he arrived? We were all calling for his head, then Comollis head then, eventually, Martin's head. I was there claiming he sucked, how much of a waste of money he was, why we didn't go in for <insert any one of a hundred other midfielders i wanted> instead, etc.

A year later and he strolls out onto the pitch and, hello, he's looking sharp. He's tracking back like a train and sticking in some monster tackles, stopping oppo's on the counter and he's tearing forward like he wants to win now - I let my guard slip early on, as i try to give every new player to the league at least a year to get up to pace, but he's coming good it seems and it's most likely, in my opinion, down to the fact he needed time to come to terms with the speed, the aggression and the style of the English game.

KPB obviously has talent, that much is clear, he just hasn't managed to work out how to use that talent on the pitch. He's young and green to this country, so lets be patient. If he continues to contribute nothing then i have no doubt Wendy will replace him but lets not judge his future at the club off the back of a few poor performances. For all we know, Gus and Wendy got back to the lockers after the game and said, "Well done lads - few things to note: Kevin, you were dire today, son. Why do you always choke at showtime? We need to work on your acceleration, you need to work on your concentration - we're giving you a lot of rope here, don't hang yourself with it."

It's funny though - wonder how many of you balling and whining about him, after 10 or 11 games, would've been on here waving your little KPB flags if he'd knocked one in and played one single blinding match against Derby, proclaiming him the next Hoddle?

fickle and impatient... deep breaths, guys
