Same - I actually find I watch SSN a lot less during the summer than at any other time. It turns into that parody 'Broken News' that BBC used to show about rolling news stations having too much air-time and not enough material.

I distinctly recall one transfer window (think it was when we re-signed Robbie Keane a few January's ago) when they went to their Scottish correspondent who was sitting in a room in Glasgow. His 'breaking news' at 5 mins past the deadline was that the 2 moves they expected to happen in Scotland, hadn't happened! That's not news of any kind, let alone the 'breaking' variety.

Until I hear something concrete on here or another source, I tend to avoid it from May until August (except for the highlights of pre-season games).

Me too, SSN goes right out the window with me until the season is about to resume, then I'm all over it again.

Haven't watched SSN properly for ages..... generally as it is the same shit repeated over a whole day.

To keep people watching they'll say something like they did the other day about "Modric in a blue shirt" about an hour before they actually put it to air so ya end up sitting there for agesn for about a minutes worth of non information.

When the footy season gets going again I'll probably use it a bit more often.

It really is only any good for transfer deadline day!

also the female presenter that everyone is always furiously masturbating over is only just on the good side of average.
Aside from her looks, where's the challenge in slammin' the lamb over a woman who's on the box for best part of 12 hours a day? You want a challenge, you need to pick a weather girl, then you've only got the five minutes to furiously pound out the rhythm of life. If you need something in between, for example you fancy a quick shimmy when you pop home from work at lunchtime, there's always the Countdown girl

They have to fill alot of time, so even a hint of a hint is big news. Can you imagine SSN saying Chelsea have accepted Modders is not for sale? Not going to get many on the edge of their seat for that non story.

Fair comment, but it's the angle they take on these stories - why did they continually hark on about the teams that Modric should consider, instead of pushing on the point that, despite being told no and being previously warned, and punished, for tapping up twice in the past, Chelsea have gone and done it again? They barely referred to Spurs, they simply discussed how Modric has a lot of suitors and Chelsea were being boldest, etc.

If they grew a pair of balls then they'd have plenty of real news and interesting articles to broadcast, instead they go with the cheapest they can find.

Very weak, little more than a bunch of chimps becoming excited when food is bought near, they don't have to think, just get excited and shout a bit, then fling poo at each other.

That's the best summation of Sky Sports News I've ever heard, RS.

Nice.
