From the Daily Mail site:

He said: "I do not understand these rumours. Let's be clear: I feel great at Tottenham and I still want to give my best for this team.
"If you look at my stats, I have played approximately 30 games. That is not bad for a 22-year-old foreign player who is at such a club. It is up to me to continue to work. Every time a new coach arrives, you have to work to make yourself look indispensable. I have to do all I can to impose myself.
"Generally, for a player who discovers a new league, the first year is considered an adaptation season. I am lucky that has not been the case.
"It is a bit early, but I am quite satisfied with the first part of the season. I know how far I can go. I can still improve a lot."
Kaboul also believes Tottenham can improve their league form enough to still finish in the top six this season.
He added: "We would like to qualify for European football at the end of the season.
"For the moment, the fourth place seems impossible to get, but we can still hope to finish fifth or sixth."

I think he can be a really good player for us but as he said he needs time to adapt. maybe more time at DM would be better for his development.

Younes came with massive hype about him being the brightest young defender in the world :duh:

I aint seen evidence of that as yet as I'm sure none of you have but he was a rock for Auxerre. This guy still needs time to develope but has all the ingredients to be World Class

Good ol' Daily Mail. Thanks for sharing, donny.

That interview is about 2 weeks out of date (if they're just publishing it now). As has been said, I think he'll come good - he was never expected to slot straight in, and I expect the theory was to bleed him in slowly as all the other youngsters have attempted to be. He has played a lot of games though, let us hope it settles in and he takes on board everything and comes back stronger for it.

nice and sensible

The boy needs more time to settle in and IMO will be a better defender than Dawson (dawson lovers let the abuse start :) )

He is young and so was Daws. Needs someone like King or Woodgate with him - same as Daws needs King.

Kaboul is a 'jewel'....and this season, good or bad, has showed that he has what it takes to reach the necessary level. He will only get better (I hope) but his class is clear to see....COYS!

He is much better than Dawson. FACT.

I think Kaboul looks fine when he plays, he just needs to be more decisive on the ball that's all. I have a lot of confidence in him.

He's raw but has all the physical tools to be a brilliant centre back, next season will be the time to jugde him

He's got all the tools, but right now it's just adaptation and experience of the EPL that is slightly wanting.

As far as I'm concerned this lad has got it all.

I also found it interesting that when he partnered Dawson earlier in the season, despite being the junior player, he actually took on the role of the senior player.

It rang the odd alarm bell about Dawson but shows that Kaboul has the strength of mind to take charge which far outweighs the odd error that is currently in his game.

Never mind Dawson being a future captain it's more likely to be Younis.

There's still quite a lot of work to be done, but I'm confident he'll keep getting better and better. He's an awesome footballer with a lot of composure and great technique. With Ledley and now Woodgate in the squad, I can only see him becoming a top class centre back. I don't see why he can't be (almost) as good as Ledley eventually. I have high hopes for the guy.

A great pro, and a very good player. I am so happy to have him at Spurs. He is a player I believe will develop to become one of the very best defenders around.....

Thanks for the "FACT" in capital letters at the end of your statement. It saves any idiots on here interpreting it as a opinion.
