So JB needs to move this summer to be considered HG in Europe in the future. If he stays in Dortmund for another season he wouldn't be able to count.

So I guess that is an incentive for him to move tbh. Makes him a lot less valuable to English teams if he doesn't move now.

If it's not Bellingham my guess is one of these:

Gnabry
Frimpong
Tomori
Eric Garcia
Nmecha
Angelino
Suso
Moussa Dembele
Marcus Edwards
Chris Smalling
Ryan Kent
Jeremie Boga
Reece Oxford
Angel Gomes

Pretty sure all of em came through at English clubs and are assoc. trained.
Ismaël Bennacer the midfielder at AC Milan is HG too I believe. He came through Arsenal’s academy

No, he could move next summer and would still be able to qualify as association-trained in time for the 2024-25 season. Any later than that, though, and he would miss the chance to be association-trained for English clubs.

So let me get this right - just for arguments sake (I know we won’t sign him), Musuala ISN’t homegrown?

He lived in Fuldauntil the age of seven, before moving to England with his family, where he went on to spend most of his childhood.[8][9] He went to primary school at the Corpus Christi School in New Malden.[10]For secondary school he went to the Whitgift School in Croydon.[11] He was in the Chelsea academy for most of his childhood years.[8]

We will neither sign Bellingham or Gnabry, at least this summer. Come on guys...
You’re right - but there are very few players that are homegrown and playing abroad who would improve our squad. Those two definitely do.

it’s nice to be optimistic for just a moment...

Brahim Diaz is in his 3rd loan season at Milan from Real.

Left footed RWF/ AM. Came through City’s academy.

Milan have a buy option, and Real a buy back.

Can’t think of anyone else.

Boga could be a good shout. Plays in Serie A. Excelled for Sassuolo and things haven’t quite worked out for him at Atalanta

Something tells me Bellingham won't be concerned about whether he's HG or not when he makes his inevitable 80-100m move to a PL club.

It's a nice bonus for PL clubs, but I can't see a club signing a player of his calibre for a mega fee with his homegrown status as key factor. Any club willing to spend that kind of money can pull strings and make changes elsewhere in the squad to compensate for top class, non-HG players

He will qualify as homegrown in the PL as their rule is simply that a player must have spent 3 years at an English club before the age of 21, but UEFA only looks at the time period after a player's 15th birthday. Musiala left England at 16, so would need to spend another 2 years at an English club before the age of 21 to qualify.

NOT Bellingham according to Trix
Well I'm not surprised people have jumped to that conclusion.....

I say HG and at a foreign club. So SC, like a box full of sherlocks, first reaction is to jump to the most expensive and likely ungettable player that plays in a position where we are already stacked.
