He’s developed into a fine goal keeper after struggling with the mental side of the game in his early years at Everton. He always had the raw shot stopping ability and great kicking but now he plays with great maturity. Added to the fact he is home-grown. It’s a no brainier to me.

All the MOTD watchers not rating Pickford. He’s been consistently good for Everton for the last 12 months after a shaky early period in his career. Still young for a keeper, fantastic shot stopper, good with his feet and HG and England’s No.1. Pickford of the last season or 2 is a no brainer

Stepped up massively this season. Really shining for club and country and a lot of Everton fans basically saying he is the only reason they’re not rock bottom.

His shot stopping stats this season just show how elite he is. Having this high a post shot xg and save % while getting peppered every game is quite something

I don’t think my heart could take Pickford behind our current defenders.

Whilst there may be stats to prove me wrong, I always feel that he has a mistake in him

I also, irrationally, hate how angry he always looks/gets.

I’d prefer other options.

If we end up signing him we would surely have paid way over the odds for an average keeper.

Absolutely not for me, and how he's ahead of Pope and dare I say it, Ramsdale in the England setup is a mystery.
Don't understand this

Pope was poor when he got his chance for England.

Ramsdale made a mistake when he got his chance

Pickford has been solid for England and deservedly keeps his place

Considering the players he has in front of him on that Everton team, it's probably no surprise that he looks angry.

So he is essentially Lloris then

That might very well be true for the matches in question, but based on general ability I'd stille take both over Pickford every day. Especially Pope.

Whether he comes to us or not, ive always liked him. He's got some great character about him at big moments imo. Brilliant in the penalty shoot out when England beat Colombia, and also saving 2 penalties against the Italians in the Euro final, done everything he could.

Is it? I’ve watched him a hell of a lot and have a fair few everton supporting mates and he is very error strewn you just cannot deny that
He was prone to errors, but he's made 2 in the last 2 seasons leading to goals. Hugo himself has 4 this season.
