I remember Moyes trying to get him a few years ago, at around 8 mill. Not sure if the price or wages was the issue, but clearly he would be worth a lot more today. I will say Moyes does have a good eye for a player, so if he thought Moutinho was up to playing in the PL, then I would have no objection to him being a Modric replacement.

I did a cryptic about him a week or so back!

He's a big target.

I can see why. I haven't played any of the CM/FM games in years, but the last version I played he was a prodigy, which made me lump him in with Anthony Vanden Borre and Freddie Adu. Which is seeming very unfair of me.

Akqua has mentioned him a couple of times too and I think even JJ mentioned him as a possible.

From what I've seen of him I'd be well chuffed if we signed him! Looks a bit more direct and tenacious than Modric.

Did he play at Porto under AVB?

I suppose it's the AVB connection that would put us in a position to contend for his sig

Certainly a factor which would fall in our favour, although, ultimately, it boils down to who the highest bidder is at the end of the day and the subsequent wages that come with it.

This is my partner, Fellatio Del Toro

On Moutinho, would be decent but I'd rather have Sahin!

Gus T.T. Showbiz (The Extra T is for Extra Talent)

I agree that Sahin would be other-worldly. One of my favorites. I don't think it will happen though. And so Moutinho does look like a solid option.

For our sake it's probably better that Portugal don't get to the final - we don't want Moutinho pulling all the strings and Portugal thus winning the final, thereby driving his price up and attracting bigger clubs.

So hopefully he misses a penalty and Portugal go out.

Or Moutino AND Sahin!

Imagine if it's true Sahin and 30 mil for Modric? Get Moutino and pay for Vertonghen might even get a bit of change too......

Taxi for Modric!!!

Moutinho is the kind of player that everyone wanks about on internet forums. The tabloids and twitter pick up on it and then the whole thing just snowballs.

The problem is we've probably already enquired and realised his transfer fee + wages are well out of our reach!
