I don't think we are that (60m+) interested. I think we have been encouraged to bid (opinion).

It might be like a players plus cash deal worth that much. But it would see us rating winks and ndombele at 20-25m each (or whoever).

My memory might be going but weren't Leicester on the ffp list after Everton?
There not swapping him for winks or Tanguy

He's one of their most important players they will want top tier money for him

I dojt know what their FFP standing is but there wages to turnover ratio is very high

Also I think he starts for us personally think he's a very good player. He would improve us

If it’s Maddison or paqueta I’d be going for Maddison, even though he wouldnt be my top choice, knows the league and putting up excellent numbers in a underperforming team last season
Who would be your top choice? Genuine question btw

They keen on Winks. According to what I know, nowhere near 50m. Just under two years left on his contract. We wouldn’t deal at 50 neither.
Really? Anything under £50m in this market would seem like a massive bargain, I was expecting at least the Richarlison fee.

I think it will be pretty even between him and Kuvuleski for the starting spot.

One thing I can see if we do sign him, is we can finally rest Kane every now and again. With maddison and richarlison playing we are a little less reliant on Kane and his playmaking/target man/goalscoring role.

This is the one I really want! Goals and assists.
Same. This would give us the creativity and attacking depth for conte to start to think he’d have a squad that if everything clicked could get close to the top2.

He ticks so many boxes ?:
• Creative ✅
• Goals & Assists ✅
• Very good set piece taker ✅
• Knows the league ✅
• Homegrown ✅
• Good age 25, at a great level now but still room to improve ✅
• Could play CM in a 2 in a game we are very dominant in, but mainly would give us that more attacking CAM like option to switch to 3-5-2 and he could play either side of Kane, he’d play the role similarly to how Kulusevski plays it on the right, not loads of pace but great creativity and good technique on both feet and good dribbling and change of direction

Maddison is exactly what we are missing. Would also mean we can switch to 3-5-2 at times, that flexibility would be very important in big games and in Europe.

Spence, another Top level CB (P.Torres etc), and Maddison and with Conte at the helm I don’t think we’d be far off having a squad to challenge City & Liverpool tbh, why not think that? Conte is a top 3 in the world manager and we’d have 2 quality players in every position, a very strong first Xi and for the first time ever in the PL a very strong 2nd XI and depth which would rival City and Lpool, + we have two of the very best attacking players in the league both in their prime as well as 4 absolutely beasts in the middle, some very solid CB options assuming we sign one more and a World Cup winning goalie so the spine of the team would be very very strong.

If we swap Winks +40m for Maddison that's an absolutely amazing deal. Would love that, think he's actually a little underrated.

If Eriksen and Maddison are not Conte first choice, does make you wonder who is.
My hunch is Milinkovic-Savic.

- Paratici is known to be a huge fan of his. See his napkin 3 years back https://www.90min.com/posts/6282235...-paratici-leaves-strategy-notes-at-restaurant
- Has the quality to be perceived as our top choice in the position
- At 6ft 3in he fits the physical profile we see in a lot of conte’s signings, more so than Ruiz, Maddison, Eriksen
- Non-Italian and based in Italy
- Name not massively in the press at the moment, could explain ITK not revealing our top target

We’ve been told he’s 100m

His stats speak for themself he could start for most of the top sides if there was any possibility of signing him we should get him. I think he would push to start. Also with him and a top CB I think we have a genuine chance to push pool/city rather than just an outside chance with where we are at the moment this summer.

That really seems too good to be true - my first thought was that we'd be paying c. 60m for him - even with a shortish contract and Leicester apparently needing money coming in and apparently no deal for Tielemans on the horizon.

If we really can get him at sub-50m, and no-one else snatches him from under our noses, I'd be surprised and delighted.

Fingers crossed!

Here’s a thought. We’ve been told all along the transfer plan this summer is fluid. Eg if we couldn’t get Spence we’d look for a non HG RWB and HG AM. Wonder if the lack of available elite CB’s this summer has seen a shift in budget so that Maddison as the AM option is now viable? Maybe go for a lower value CB with potential?

Then we aren’t signing him. There is not a chance we get Maddison for under 50m total package. Seriously 0 chance. Maybe if we chucked Winks in the outlay will be lower but the total package would be over 50m

Wouldn't deal at 50, but 30 + Winks doesn't sound too bad, does it
If we can raise funds from sales and/or have some left from the £150m ENIC put in then I’d very much deal at £50mil. The Guy got double figure goals and assists last season, he’s one of the best set piece takers in the league, he’s homegrown, he knows the league and he’s near enough to his prime but not quite there yet so room to improve and hit huge levels with us.

If Richarlison is £60mil then Maddison is certainly worth dealing at £50mil, he could win us games and points on his own many times with his creativity and set pieces etc, would be a hugely hugely valuable signing.

It gives up options further down the line if we wanted up upgrade on Doherty (or any HG player)
I still find it a madness that Dier despite 45 senior England caps doest lose a foreign player tag, Davies counts as foreign yet Rodon doesn't cos' Swansea innit or some other FA nonsense!

If so I like this new stage of the plan a lot.
