The first mistake there is the English school system not breaking up for summer holidays before late July, what the hell is that about? Kids lose more than half of the warmest month of the year when every other nation is on holiday.

Do you want the kids to go back in mid-August then?

UEFA don't force people to drink alcohol from 8am. That's on the fans themselves. If you feel you need to be drinking from that early to get excited and ready for a football match then you may have a problem. I've never understood it myself.

As for work, it's one day. Most places have sanctioned off days and late starts. Wouldn't put it past Boris to sanction a bank holiday if it happens. But if you can't get up the next morning due to a hangover after drinking for the whole day that's on you and not UEFA for deciding the KO time. You could just call in sick. I guarantee most up and down the country will do so anyway.
UEFA has responsibilities as well. They should think about things like this. It is a human behaviour, to make a party out of an occation like this, especially after a long isolation due to Covid19. The fans will be soaked with beer when the game starts and it could become a problem. No one should bv allowed into the stadium too animated. If something bad happens, it is not only on the fans, but on the organisers as well! The authorities need to learn from past mistakes!

Right then. I am going to keep my mind off all this by mowing the lawn, cooking a roast, popping round to the in laws for the Wimbledon final, and keeping the fook out of here until the morrow.

Three Lions, Bulldog spirit, cry God for Harry, England and Saint George and so forth.
Roast done, scoffed and washed up. It's only 2.55. Might have a nap before the beers come out!

Yeah it is starting to feel a bit like champions final day except I’m not at the game. All this excitement and expectation only for it to be shat all over from a great height later on. It’s why I’m not getting too excited.

I’m a bit envious of all those going to the game and having a great time getting shitfaced on Wembley way. I hope they have a good day and we win.

Im not making this uo, my father in law lives about 1/4 mile away from me and he, along with a 6 post code area of NR32 2,3,,4,5,7 and 9, have just had a power cut!
They reckon it'll be fixed between 7 and 8.
Seriously.
Any pubs affected must be distraught.

There is still hope with 2+ hours left, imagine if it happens during the national anthem.

Not so bad then lol. As long as its back on for ko.
He's had to go in his caravan and use the gas stove to finish cooking his curry lol.
And it's back on already. Out the caravan then lol.
Gonna be a lot of nipped up bums during the match now. Just imagine watching in a pub and, bang, power goes off lol.
