That's why I dreaded the Idea the idea of Martinez coming here.
Awful manager
Had no real idea of how to get back in the game other than get it into the channels.

Martinez is known for attacking football but I think when a coach who implements it better comes along he really struggles.

They were lucky Portugal were worse than them at it.

I've never really felt like I'm watching a really good team under him. Just a team with quality players and good moments

If a golden generation wins nothing, were they really golden?
Belgium are finished. Only big star under 30 is Lukaku, they have no defenders of any quality coming through to replace Toby and Jan.

I can't see anything but them slipping back into the obscurity they were in in the early 2000s within the next five to ten years.

Can't help feeling that the marketing department of a leading soft baked bar company should be getting sacked for not advertising the fuck out of tonight's game.

Belgium disappointed I feel. I expected a bit more but Italy are the real deal

I agree although belgiums style of play was always going to suit italy.

Spain on the other hand dont. They may be abit sketchy at times but spain is the hardest team for italy to play against.

Will be very very tough

I can't see us beating Italy. Also, as an aside, I can't stand their play acting. They did it 4 or 5 times at the end, it was embarrassing .

Also Doku looked good.

Our squad is far superior to Belgium. People get hung up on De Bruyne and Lukaku, I'm not surprised an average Italy team beat them. We are the strongest team left in the competition.

Other than the play acting , it was refreshing to watch this current Italian side play as compared to some of the Italian teams in the past, who’d score a goal and then close up shop.

They lost their shine when Martinez used up all the polish for his bonce.
It was Wilmots who threw away their best chance in 2016. Against Wales no less.

Not defending Martinez and I'm glad he won't be our manager, but the worst performances of this Belgium generation came before he was hired.

Perhaps in certain ways....yes england are.
But 'know how', mentality, holding nerve, experience, no mistakes.....what about these areas?
