Yay. Fucking brilliant. Not sure why everyone was writing Israel off, seeing as they've only lost about 2 home matches in the last 57 years (or something like that).
Only slight complaint, i would've preferred if Israel drew rather than won. Now that means we only need a draw and we'll probably only get a draw and it'll be another crap game. We better win anyway on Wednesday even though we only need a draw. Scotland did the double over France and didn't go through and if we don't manage a win against Croatia and still go through it would be a bit embarrassing.
If we don't win on Wednesday, I'll be glad not to make it. We'd only embarrass ourselves on the World stage. England will however qualify, luckily, and we'll have got out of jail BIG time.
Great, now we can just paper over the cracks and claim that it was nothing short of miraculous that we qualified rather than focusing on the fact we were crap in this tourno. McClaren (sp) must be delirious - he's just had his Beckham Greece freekick moment.
A lose on wednesday would seal McClaren's fate, he's been given an early christmas present tonight. I can't image us not getting a draw though, knowing England they will go and beat Croatia now and then everyone will wonder what all the fuss was about.
the players england have to pick from they should have won there group handy, they got out of jail and will now qualify for the finals and they have the team to go on and win the tournment but with the manager in charge i dont think they will as he is not the right man for the job because he cant get the best out of his players
I'll leave the door slightly open for a miracle wake up call from England in the Euro, that way I won't feel too pessimistic about their chances.
Now imagine if Croatia win at Wembley, I'll probably start an online petition asking for the immediate execution of Steve McClaren and some of his players. I have every right to do so.
