Not that is he's completely crap in defence, but that he can also play upfront?

I have rewatched the highlights and still can't understand why he was still so far up the pitch when we had lost the ball.

It's useful to have a standing striker on the pitch if our back are against the wall and need to throw people forward.

You really want to bring on a CB as a striker? This is what you aspire to? :depressed:

No, that fact would be he would already be on the pitch, we would have the option to throw him forward if we needed to.
Extra attacking option if we have already used our 3 subs.

Or we could use strikers to play as strikers..... It's a new technique of using players where they are meant to play? I know it's far fetched but may work!

Yes he did well for the goal but let's not jump on one goal, remember Bentley scored from a good distance against arsenal, but was shit for the rest of the time.

He was playing RB, they tend to get forward a lot.

Hugo was a striker before he was a goalie, maybe we could chuck him forward too? ;)

Its standard practice to chuck a CB up front for the last few minutes if desperate for a goal and to put high balls into him.
Im sure the Terrys and Kompanys of this world have done it so it would be great if we had a CB who could do it.
Ditto for corners or set pieces.

The problem is that the Pele label has to be ironic but this kid actually looks quite stylish. Gary Doherty on the other hand...

I'm sure Daws has been chucked up front a few times in the past when we've been losing with a couple of mins left?
