Over the past few weeks, we’ve covered a lot of reports and updates regarding the future of Christian Eriksen. And heading into the final week of the January transfer window, his situation hasn’t changed an inch.

If you’re not living under a rock, you’re well aware that a host of Premier League clubs including Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Danish midfielder on loan this month. The 28-year-old, who left Spurs mainly to enjoy football elsewhere, must be realising by now that the grass is not always greener on the other side.

Outrageous, why should we have to pay the player, in fact why aren’t Milan paying all our players, Levy’s missed a trick.

Of course they want all his wages paid. They need the cash, and there’s still two weeks of the window left. If they really want him off the books then they’ll likely accept less before the window shuts.

Yup, that's how I saw it too, you don't start a negotiation from your lowest acceptable position unless you have to.

Yeah it was reported Leicester were keen, but baulked at the £300k. Top players get £300k - players who might once have been top but haven't been for about 2 or 3 seasons...no.

This is the problem with your Ramsays and Eriksens - they run down their contracts to get higher wages, but shouldn't expect to retain higher wages if they turn out a bit 'meh' because the clubs then can't shift them.

Rather their problem than ours.

Not sure I'd want him back anyway. Not because he left us to play elsewhere, but simply because he hadn't played well for us in something like a year. He then has a torrid time of it at Inter. He was an immense player for us over the years, but I don't think he'll ever be that player again – not for us at least.

Inter will come to their senses as the transfer window nears its end. He may not end up hear but they'll end up paying half his wages imo.

His work rate was exceptional on the whole tbf. Covered amazing ground.

Criticise him for other stuff but that is nonsense.

Still wouldnt want him back mind.

Agreed with that except the last sentence. Don't know if a humbled Eriksen with cap in hand and a Jose arm around his shoulder will be the creative piece we are so obviously missing. He is at the peak of his career, and might be a great buy. But yeah it can all go south but might be worth a short term gamble.

I reckon if he were to come, he would no doubt put on a much humbler face. If, and it's a big if, he was to try and prove to us and the world how wrong we were about him we could end up with the Erisken of 3 years ago.
The money side is down to Levy, and I care little for it. This is a big decision for both the player and Inter.

I see no reason for us to sign Eriksen, except the hope that he may suddenly and miraculously turn into the player he was with us three seasons ago. Not going to happen, is it, anymore than the hope that Bale may one day turn into the player he once resembled, a forlorn hope that is costing the club £250k each week.

Both Bale and Eriksen were once great players with us who thrilled and excited everyone, but they are no more. Let's send Bale back to RM and take no further action on Eriksen.

1) DL wants, and has told Inter, a loan and not a buy.
2)He wants Inter to cover (most of) CE's wages.

After a torrid year he might pull his finger out to get ready for the Euros (not that they should go ahead ).Anyway our other Viking could shake him up a bit.
