Barry will not be getting £70k a week from his move this summer, he only has a year to go on his current deal, hence the lowered transfer fee. His agent will be looking for close to £100k from Liverpool and Arse.

Someone like Barry would be an exceptional signing. Having a cultured deeper lying midfield player alongside Palacios would be brilliant and would really allow Modric to create further forwards.

That said I'm not unhappy with JJ and if we have to leave the midfield as it is then I wouldn't mind at all (perhaps with some more adequate backup for Palacios).

We should only replace people in this close season with proven quality because the team that we currently have is a top 6 (at least) team based on their performances since February.

Barry is the one player I would most like to see at Spurs. However, one of the players in the report who is supposed to be looking for a new club is Gunter. Harry has already said CG might be loaned, but won't be sold. If that is any indicator of the reliability of the article, it's a load of poop.
