If I’m honest, I never got over seeing him in a scum shirt with his face painted as a kid. I also stopped chanting ‘one of our own’ after the Neville interview.

Man, what an amazing gift he has been to our fan base. I will forever love everything he has done and respect him immensely. From every new beginning comes some other’s new beginning‘s end.

Harry, will always be one of our own.

Thank you for all of your dedication, leadership, and memories.

COYS.

Let a new era begin. And let us hope that his move is the catalyst for greater things to come.

Because in 4 yrs we will have grown past him and not need him anymore.
I did think that immediately after posting. I really do hope in 3/4 years time we'll have found a good permanent striking option than an ageing Kane. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Ah, good point. Let me rephrase it.

Kane played 435 times for Spurs and won nothing at club level.

Tomorrow, he could be an official Bayern Munich player and win his first major trophy without kicking a ball. :)
I think you're forgetting the Audi Cup my friend. 👍

Man, what an amazing gift he has been to our fan base. I will forever love everything he has done and respect him immensely. Sad we never were able to set up a team around him in the last three to four years that matched his ability. But what an absolute honor it has been.

Harry, will always be one of our own.

Thank you for all of your dedication, leadership, and memories.

A kind hearted post but you forgot to thank the Santa Claus that put the gift underneath the tree: Tim Sherwood

any news about a buy back clause inserted?
None. Honestly though, if we're trying to buy a 33/34-year old Harry Kane in three or four years time then whatever succession planning we've done in the mean time has gone wrong (yes, yes, I know...). Fine for a young starlet who we'd be having another look at aged 25 or so, but smacks of desperation for a player approaching their mid-thirties.

I can see it happening tbh. Maybe its written into the deal like it was with Bale that we get first option on him
Which is pretty worthless if we can't put together a wages poackage better than anyone elses. We can't force him to come back to us at lower wages.

Better is to put a clause on the contract that if they sell back we get a big fat fee (i.e. enough to make it very difficult for them to find a buyer who will pay enough to make it worth BM's while selling)

I suppose the only question left to ask… is whether we’ll make it to 4,000 pages before the transfer is confirmed?

Yeah, all things considered, beyond him retiring here or moving to Orient or the MLS in his late 30s this is about as good a departure as we were ever likely to get from Kane given how much we fucked the last 5 years.ars.

Big fee to a foreign club after scoring a bagful in his final appearance for Spurs on a sunny afternoon at the stadium.

Wilful and woeful neglect
