Annoyingly, we’ve got to follow Arsenal’s blueprint now.

Buy a bunch of highly rated young players and hope they all click under the right manager.

They were miles off it only a few years ago.
We won’t though. We’ll continue to chase players with “re-sale value” rather than the best players for our requirements. The signing of another centre half will be telling now.

Feels surreal. Thanks for everything Harry and hopefully you return someday.

Surely a marquee signing is the bare minimum now I wonder what route we go down.

i could almost accept it if we would bring in real quality. But we won't.
No, we are constantly rotating and reacting rather than planning.

It has taken us far too long to replace Eriksen, and now we have, we sell Kane.

By the time we sort out the striker, Maddison will likely be going.

That's me off to bed in the hopes that Matt law breaks another exclusive at around 6am repeating the Jose appointment breaking news but this time with actual positive news for spurs that Kane is staying. We deserve a nice thing after the last 4 years.

Not the news I was hoping to wake up to.
Already have a load of messages from mates who support other clubs, going to be a long fucking weekend isn't it.

Gutted he's leaving. And to make it worse, on the day the league kicks off. 😢
Doing the stadium tour tomorrow. My youngest hasn't stopped going on about having his pic taken in front of kanes shirt. He's going to be devastated.

Still can't make any sense of this move.

-He had better options next season.
-Stepping away from PL goal record.
-Dont see leaving the PL as good for his profile in the US, which he seems super keen about.
-I doubt his wife and kids are too chuffed moving to Germany.
-leaving some top golf courses behind.

So weird. Makes it even harder to take. Feel like he's been guilted into it almost.

It's not weird to be ambitious.
To say you doubt his wife is chuffed- WTF. It's not like you know her.
To say he has been guilted into a move as well - maybe he juat wants more money and to leave and it be simple as that!

Shame, as the way Bayern have handled this means I now have to root against them winning anything. Thanks for the goals, Harry.

Hopefully the "Poor Harry Kane" narrative stops now that he might win a Bundesliga they would've won anyway. Nevermind that we played 3 finals and he didn't turn up in any of them. Poor Harry Kane.

think if he'd stayed Delusional Dan would have at his worst, pushing endlessly for Kane to sign another contract and pushing our manager to get top 4 and get trophy. best to now show a bit of patience, like he should have done before he appointed the awful Mourinho and Conte, to win ugly and quick. We might now have a manager that wants to build a team, bring on the youth and play attractive, attacking football. But...Dan will be Dan, so who knows what weird short-cut he'll try next.

Feels he can break it one day

Wants the balon dor

They support there breadwinner

I’m sure there’s good ones

Let’s move on with it now
People are going to mourn, for the want of a better phrase.

Yep, we all know we need to move on but we all need to understand we are going to do it in out own way and in our own time.

Lost for words but really shouldn't be as we all should have known he was gone once we started spending that money early on. Don't blame him for where he's gone. I do hope this might be the end of the ownership now

We've played three finals and had two title challenges whilst Kane was here.

2014/15 LC Final - he was 21 years old

2018/19 CL Final - he was injured but played not fully fit at he was our only striker other than a 33 year old Llorente

2020/21 LC Final - he was injured but played not fully fit at he was our only striker

2015/16 Title Challenge - top scorer in the league with 25 goals

2016/17 Title Challenge - top scorer in the league with 29 goals.

I know many are hurting but this narrative that he hasn't turned up when it matters is false. He was injured for 2/3 of the cup finals we played in and was a kid in his second season for the other and he finished top scorer in the league the two seasons we challenged for the title.

We had a great XI back then but we never truly built a squad capable of competing.

Can't always be everyone else but it also can't always be on one person to deliver.
2015/16 title challenge he missed a simple one on one with schmeichel with two minutes left against Leicester that would have put us top and killed leicesters momentum. Leicester went down the other end and scored from a corner he isn’t blameless in any of those chances to win a trophy but he also helped us to a new level just didn’t get the goal that really mattered in any of those games. We were lucky to fluke our way to him for 10 years but we have had far worse squads than this years with no Kane and relying on soldado, super pav etc we will find a way and 99% of players take on a new challenge at some point. We just need to invest this money well now. not buy vlad chiriches
