What happened in the last hour to convince everyone he was going? Seemed to be in the balance last time I checked.

Numerous outlets have confirmed that the move is in it's final details.

O' keefe, Romano etc

I’m genuinely curious to see how Levy and the club spin this. So far I haven’t seen one attacking link that even remotely makes up for loosing quite possibly the greatest player this club has ever seen and the current best striker in the world.

I actually think Dier is a great choice as club captain…as long as vice captain is a player who is on the pitch and is a leader

I don’t understand what positives people expect us to get out of this.

however much money we spend we will not be able to sign someone even nearly as good as Kane. We also aren’t in a position to attract one of the few young players with the potential to be as good as Kane.

And that’s only talking about ability - let alone what he means to Tottenham and what he represents. That won’t be replaced by another player for years.
Who cares. It's done , can't change that. You either bitch or you move. Now we get players who'll make the team better as a whole, than the Harry Kane team. Be excited

Don’t worry Brennan Johnson will be here soon.

One thing that has irked me over the years is that he has rarely verbally shown his affection for the club. Been more passionate about England than Spurs, IMO.

It makes me appreciate Son even more, especially with the timing of his last contract extension.

I want to be positive and feel like the 'new start' or 'painful rebuild' is going to be fine but with our track record? Suspect most of the money will be spunked up the wall anyway
This is it for me.
I’m absolutely gutted Harry’s off but if the money was spent well it’d soften the blow slightly. Problem is, I have absolutely no faith whatsoever that will happen. 🙁

Football moves on and so will we.

A new hero will step up. they always do. Just wish Ange hadn't had to deal with this but multiple managers have in reality. It's been hanging there...

Hope Levy finally gets the message and finds some footballing ambition - or gets done for insider trading.

Feel like Kane was my Truman Show and I'm gutted to see him go. We've all watched him bloom despite the naysayers. Most of England still seems to hate him. Funny what scoring goals does to opposition fans, I guess.

Unless he does something really ****ish, I'll always wish him the best.

This is basically the culmination of Levy and his board’s absolute mismanagement of the club from 2018 onwards.

They have failed to build a team around our best ever player and have wasted the last 3 years of his talent by failing to have any strategy for the football team. It’s hugely depressing as a fan to see a player who is one of us throw his hands up and say ‘fuck this!’, especially for the Bundesliga.

There are many I know who feel this is necessary and will help us on our way to a new, exciting chapter. Turning the page on the frustration of the last 3-4 years.

All I will say is the heart of our team has just been ripped out, along with a huge number of goals. No manner of clever scouting or young prospects will come close to replacing that.

We’re in for a rocky ride.

Well that's all a bit of a shame. Difficult to explain how I feel about it and I've written and deleted two drafts already.

Probably the main feeling is that Harry perfectly encapsulates Spurs. Almost got there. CL final, League Cup final, Euros final, PL goal scoring record. Just didn't quite make it.

Nevertheless, I won't think much about him after he's gone. I'm all in for big Ange and the team. I don't support a player, I support a club.

And because he’s the captain of his country and shown his commitment to the club numerous times.
He’s the captain of his country because he’s their best player.
he is not ours any longer unless he re-captures his form of a couple of years ago pretty quickly which he hasn’t looked like doing so far. We can’t have a captain whose place in the team isn’t wholly secure.
