I'm not suggesting you are matey, and I'm backing out now anyway. Trying to keep up with the twists and turns on this one has been more hassle than it's worth tbh.
I’m sure stuff changes anyway, it is human beings, lives and careers we are talking about so nothing is ever simple.

Probably the fact that at the center of this is one of the clubs best ever players, means the level of discussion on here and the picking over of every detail.

So where do we stand now? Do we think the balance has been tipped in favour of him staying at Spurs for the season?

With Bayern's ridiculous deadlines, their latest offer rejected, and Kane playing almost the full match yesterday... it looks to me that he is in our plans and will be staying. If Richarlison can't stay fit then Ange won't want to lose Kane going into the new season.

Whoever is playing policeman with ITK’s on this. Deal was agreed Friday. Not going to expand why we are where we are at. We know the reasons for the about turn. Certainly not sharing that here.

given that we’d agreed I’m assuming the about turn was more likely to have come from the Kane camp.

But why would he sign a deal with a release clause of any amount when at the moment he has a release clause of zero
Potentially for a larger salary now and a guaranteed salary through the length of the contract if he does not go anywhere. It would basically be an insurance policy for him.

If anyone is even thinking about giving any of our ITK’s a hard time about any of this, they can fuck right off. We lost POTL through a situation similar to this.

Most people love their contributions on here, if you don’t then go somewhere else.

I know it hasn’t happened yet, but I get a sense of where some of these conversations might be heading.

What % would people give that the deal falls through and he ends up staying this season?

I've just suddenly developed 'feels like it's not happening' vibes.

Not being one to toot my own horn (though of course, I would if I could), this comment is aging quite well from Saturday :smug:

I still won't believe he's staying until proven otherwise, but I'd Keegan love it if he does.

Making bayern look like proper mugs after taking this so public. Absolutely glorious. I just hope it also comes with signing a new contract.

Thankful to all the ITKs trying to keep up, seems this saga has more twists and turns than a cheap garden hose.

I wonder, if Lewis/Levy have a deal to sell some of the club. So know we have investors coming in to push us on and that Kane will be pivotal to that…

There's little chance of them doing of private deal. Too many people would be interested in a minority stake deal that they would inevitably want an auction situation and information would leak in order to bring in other bids. For a full take-over, there are market announcement obligations which by themselves create an auction.

Let's be honest. Levy moving the goalposts on a deal at the last minute is pretty standard procedure. It just actually works in our favour for once.

I wonder if Levy's trip to Miami changed things, and then Sunday's game just crystallised it.

I don't think that was said either tbh. Just that they had offered pretty much what we had been asking for and that's not the same thing. I'll be honest I've not kept up with what everyone else was saying on the forums which is why I have asked to be pointed to the posts. What I will say though is we were all pretty much in agreement bts that the offer would likely be enough, but even there no one had said the fee had been agreed etc. I know I personally have said a couple of times since though that I didn't think it was on.

I thought at the time it was pretty obvious that the ITK's were responding/reacting to Bayern stumping up the cash rather than saying the deal was agreed/done.

Although Hercules has just said that the deal was agreed on Friday, which is peculiar.

But probably best to move on..

I’ve seen it all before.
