Levy going on holiday ties in with all the talk of deadlines etc.

Needed to be agreed by today, doesn’t mean it gets completed till later in the window after we’ve brought in our next set of victims.

Just like the Bale summer as Herc has said.

Numpty in my opinion. Throwing away the most legendary of statuses to go win tin pot cups at Bayern.

Anyway fuck him. Dead to me now. Onwards and upwards
Dead is kinda harsh. But I agree with you with the tin pot cups. There is no status in winning Bundesliga. They have won Bundesliga 11 years in a row.

Sure, they have the chance to win CL. But at the same time, they have two titles in that tournament over the last 20 years. So its not a super big chance for him to win that.

Personally I’d have stayed at spurs as we’ve just bought Maddison in, going to be playing a lot more attacking and also look to finally be securing a centre back.

Grass isn’t always greener, look at Mane going there last summer.

It wouldn’t be a transfer saga without one of these stories but my mate genuinely just told me his misses sorted out doggo passports for Kane’s labs, never thought I’d be that guy but here we are.

Won’t be offended by the funny ratings 😂

the literal dogs bollocks of ITK.

He obviously doesn't want to go through another transition which I can understand. Question is if we do get back to what we were under Poch and get close to winning things would we welcome him back? It would kind of feel like he wasn't here getting back on track so shouldn't come back if we do. Although part of me would be happy if it was the difference in us getting a trophy. I could actually see us win a domestic cup without him though. Its just not a league or a CL which I think Kane could get in a few years there.

If it is done and we are just keeping it under wraps so we can line up our next moves how long can we realistically hold off from an announcement. Realistically if he’s gone he won’t be involved at all tomorrow.
Will be fascinating to see what transpires tomorrow against Shakhtar

It might seem shit to us but I guess that everyone has their own idea of what constitutes success. People on here potentially puts more store by the premier League record than he does. Who knows, maybe Shearer would swap his record for another title.

I'm clinging to the hope that none of the press have gone with 'it's done' yet....ours or the Germans (unless ive missed something?)
Im mentally prepared for it, it feels inevitable, but that's when i'll accept it's done.

Bild going with the Levy on Holiday bit now:

Gone to see Joe Lewis, who can't leave the country?
Edit: Beaten to it.
I can't keep up!

Interesting to see if he plays. I think he will as we won't want to show our hand when trying to sign players with the money. It will also be interesting to see who the captain will be. I wonder if Lloris will even play a part too. Maybe captain for each half and a final unofficial send off for them both.

If we do reject 100 mil and then don't manage convince him to stay, will Levy make sure he will spend an extra 100 mil that we missed out on?

It's going to be hard to be told we don't have money to replace him when we openly rejected big money.

I would be delighted to Kane and for him to sign a contract but we are banking on a dream scenario for Kane to suddenly be happy to fight for 4-8th and win no trophies whilst rejecting the reality of 100 mil that will go into a rebuild.

I'm not sure anyone wants Kane sold but we literally won't be able to plan anything going in new season as we won't know where we stand. If he's openly told us he's not staying but we are ignoring and hoping he changes his mind, it then starts to look silly.

Either way, it's probably the hardest footballing decision Levy will have to make. Kane moving to a rival on a free after spending this amount would be disastrous for us though. It's something that i really would want to avoid.

When I looked a few hours ago it was all ' done', everyone was writing their goodbye messages and now we seem to have returned to pretty much where we were yesterday.....

I remember going to see Kane have a penalty saved against Hearts (I think on his debut) in a 0-0 thriller at WHL.

He scored his first PL goal for us on my birthday, and went on a decent run after that leading to me winding my mates up saying Get Kane on the plane for the WC 2014, and I definitely invented the nickname HurriKane at this time 😉

That free kick against Villa in a period that felt so bleak for the club, and then a month or so later scoring a hattrick in Europe and going in goal on the same night!

I never thought that man would go on to become our all time record goalscorer. I remember watching MOTD years ago and Lampard scoring to become Chelski’s all time scorer and thinking how cool it must be to see that in your lifetime. And Harry did it, and he came through our academy to do so.

Yes there’s an argument he’s not shown up in finals, and he’s had his chances to win silverware here. But let’s not forget the great moments he’s gave us. When he scored at home to Arse 2016, an absolute worldie and ripping that mask off to send us top of the league (albeit for about 12 mins 😂), I was thinking holy shit this is actually happening.

I’m with others and don’t 100% understand this move. Bayern are undoubtedly a European powerhouse but it’s a league they’re going to win regardless of whether they sign Harry. I’m not saying I want him to rip it up and win everything there, because I don’t. But I also don’t hold anything against him as I can’t even believe we’ve got to witness what he’s given us. Same with Levy, I am a massive critic of his but you can absolutely understand why he’d be dealing if the quoted price is correct.

I cried when Berba left, and Keane, and was a nervous wreck the summer Bale left. This time I’m much more calm about it. Probably because I’m older, but also because you can almost actually see a plan this time. I think all parties could easily end up a winner from this.

We’ve only had two pathetic friendlies of which last was 10 days ago. We need to play the players that will play in a weeks time. Especially Richy and Vicario. So I really hope not.

Jason Burt says Levy has ignored deadline and that ball is back in BM court whether they are going to try and proceed further with a possible deal. Tbh I don’t think many people really know what is happening.

Sad day but an absolute pleasure seeing him in the shirt. Strangely optimistic as we’ve needed a reset for so long hopefully this will be the trigger. Bale leaving hit me harder as he was a force of nature, just as Harry is but different.
hey, sun will come up tomorrow and we move on, I’d still rather be spurs than any other team on the planet. Coymfs.

Just looking up global audience numbers for football leagues across the world. Most reports don’t even have Bundesliga in the top 5.

Nobody will ever persuade me that this is not a very weird career decision for all kinds of reasons. Not least the options he’s potentially turning his back on come next summer as a free agent.

looks like the constant “not won a trophy” line regularly pumped out by media and rival fans has really got into his head so he’s just taking the easiest option to put that right despite the consequences
