Hmmm. Kane staying but not signing a new contract is not a good outcome for me

Yeah the uncertainty is going to be constantly hanging over Ange and the club the whole season. I see zero chance he’ll sign a deal even if we get CL football. He isn’t going to stay because we look on the right track to compete again one day, he wants trophies right now.
Plus it’s hard enough getting Levy to free up transfer funds but I think he’d have spent the Kane £90m. I’m not at all convinced even if we got CL that he’d spend the equivalent next summer as we wouldn’t see all of that CL money until the following summer.

I won't be jumping for joy yet if Kane still is going to be non-comital about his future lingering well into the season.

I wouldn't necessarily blame him for doing that per se but it doesn't help Ange or the squad and that's where my support lies.

Keeping him is a gamble if it ends that way. Not gonna lie I’d be quite angry if he goes on a free. But then there’s the emotional side of seeing one of the best ever play at least one more season at the club and possibly win a trophy here which he deserves so much and definitely badly wants.

Up to Ange to convince him, and I have a ton of faith in Ange with or without Kane. Not looking forward to constant stories and interview questions about his future though if he does stay. Completely unfair to Ange if this isn’t sorted soon after the season starts, so hopefully KP is right and he’ll discuss new terms if improvement happens in the early months of the season. And for sure, he’s gonna have to press intensely out of possession and stay high up the pitch in possession. A complete swivel to the past 4 years, he and everyone is going to have to adapt.

Blimey, never did I think I'd see the day when it looks like we're keeping hold of a world class player and people would be unhappy about it?!

Let’s hope we hit the ground running under Ange and then he’s open to renewing 🤞

Otherwise the nonstop speculation about his next club will be unbearable/disruptive.

Here's hoping for a Di-Caprio Wolf of wall street-style "I'm staying" speech from Harry for the contract renewal tweet.

Beggars belief. Best player we’ve got, probably the best player we’ve had in the last 35 years.

And people want him to leave.

People moan about Levy only thinking of the club as a business, and then shit themselves over the prospect of him letting a player leave on a free.

I was definitely part of the sell him to rebuild crowd- but I still think Spurs will be in a good spot to convince him to stay next summer.

I think the football will be fun - and Kane should like that. We just need to ensure that results follow.

I can’t see us doing enough to convince him to re-sign long term, but god I hope I’m wrong. I think best case scenario we get him to agree to a 1 year extension with a fair release clause. I have a horrible feeling we are going to regret not getting something while we could. That being said, I’m really excited to see what Kane can do in Ange’s system.

Is it as simple as that, really?

We all love Kane, and of course he's world class.

But this is a saga....and we're entering a new era with a new manager, it's a good time to part ways if Harry won't commit.

All we do is prolong the inevitable of having to adapt to life without him a year down the line and furthermore endure countless speculation.

I'm sure Agne is sick of the questions already let alone a full season of it.

If Harry commits now (soonish) that's an entirely different proposition.
