This is pretty ominous surely.
Why meet?

This sounds like the beginning of the end for Kane and Tottenham.
If this is true of course.

And why does Ornstein only report on negative stuff for us?
He never speaks about us in good terms, hasn’t covered any of our signings.
If they've actually had a meeting and it ends with Harry Kane on a plane to Australia in the morning, then I'm not sure it signals that at all.

I think Bayern are being played here.

Not by us but the Kane family and other clubs.

They're being used to get a benchmark for what Daniel Levy would accept and then the plan is for others to come along.

If say we would in theory would accept 90 million for him I don't for one second believe that United, PSG and even Madrid wouldn't be interested

Having breakfast with Bayern. Levy knows he is losing his position of power with Kane. No chance he would have entertained this 2 years ago when City wanted him. He’s preparing to sell if he has to.

He's a top class journalist and the best in terms on transfers, he hasn't said anything bad.

This would be a potential huge fee transfer, Bayern aren’t just going to 5 mins after a meeting send an e-mail to Daniel saying ok mate here is the £100mil bid you wanted are they.

So him going on tour is just because this is going to rumble on but the fact they met is ominous I think.

Yeah why would they meet if it was a flat out no, we’re not selling.

Seems like a waste of time for all involved.
Because flat out no isn’t an option for us unfortunately with a one year contract. Doesn’t mean we’ll move from our price either.

If you take the report as true, then we also haven't told them any price either, which doesn't sound hopeful for them and more in line with the messaging that he's not for sale. If we have a good relation ship with Bayern, then to meet with them is only respectful.

Personally I just don't see it still, and am not particularly worried, both because I don't think it'll happen, and because if it miraculously were to then I think he'll be making a massive career mistake, which softens the blow for me.

Of the firm belief that I think Kane is above now making any career misjudgements given that he was burned a couple of years ago, and will keep his powder dry until he can make best use of it towards the end of this season, rather than go off to Bayern before he'd need to, to win a couple of pots that nobody that truly appreciates his career will ever give a toss about. He'll be forgotten about in this country over there. England's captain, that is already maligned in some circles, a forgotten man. Let's not forget that it's not long ago there were calls mid tournament to drop the bloke. He won't want that.

Also we have better golf here.

Don’t forget Bayern have a PR game to play as much as anyone else, especially coming off a disappointing season that got their manager and half their board sacked. If the deal can’t be done, they’ll want the narrative to be “we tried everything we could but Levy is just too unreasonable”, not “Bayern just aren’t that attractive” or “we’re way too cheap so just trot Choupo-Moting out for another season”

I reckon that if you try hard enough, you could probably join those dots yourself.

IF it happened

Levy “it’s nice of you to buy me breakfast coming all this way, I will not sell Harry to you though! Could you pass the salt please?”

Is it just me, or does that keeper look like he is on a kamikaze mission?

Worth noting that so far this window Ornstein has been of the thought he wouldn’t be sold. But he has been wavering on it a bit this week. Up until then he’d actually been pretty positive we wouldn’t sell.

Levy actually taking a meeting though may mean he is ready to deal or maybe he’s said to Kane he’d meet with them. All sounds cordial.

Kane’s approach to the whole thing is night and day from last time around. Showed up on time, apparently going to be on the flight for the tour. He’s doing everything right to start the season if it’s in North London, unlike 2021.

He wouldn’t be going on a pre-season tour if we are looking to sell, especially with only a year left, one injury could cost us the transfer fee.

We’d be announcing a minor injury. Instead we’re showing pictures of him grinning away whilst training.

This will be dragging on until at least the end of preseason tours.

I know nobody wants to accept it, but I think with this much noise and Levy actually meeting with BM means we may have to start mentally preparing ourselves for Kane going now.
It's certainly a possibility.

Nobody can deny that.

Although many will.
