They are still operating in Euro-figuresI still think they'd be about 30-40m short from Levy's perspective.. but at this point all we can do is see how it unfolds

We are about 5 weeks away from the start of the season. IMO, if Kane is to be sold, within the next two weeks, you may see some leaks that positions Spurs on the high ground and begins to throw some shade at Kane (e.g., Kane doesn't want to entertain our unprecedented offer to make him the highest paid Spurs player ever, putting individual goals before the team). Kane's camp won't have much to counteract that without getting personal, which I don't think he would do. It would progressively go downhill from there and Spurs would think they've won the PR battle for the fans, hiding the fact in plain sight that they've mismanaged the tenure of a generational talent. The game, as they say, is afoot.
It's an article with absolutely nothing in it.Transferts : le Bayern Munich prêt à casser sa tirelire pour attirer Harry Kane (Tottenham)
Bien décidé à se renforcer au poste d'avant-centre, le Bayern Munich veut frapper fort en attirant l'attaquant anglais Harry Kane. Le transfert pourrait atteindre près de 100 millions d'euros.www.lequipe.fr
Should be the new team mottothey've mismanaged the tenure of a generational talent.
LOL, so €75m plus 20m addons… That might finally be high enough for Levy to pickup the phone and say “no”.It's an article with absolutely nothing in it.
Transfers: Bayern Munich ready to break the bank to attract Harry Kane (Tottenham) Determined to strengthen the position of center forward, Bayern Munich wants to hit hard by attracting English striker Harry Kane. The transfer could reach almost 100 million euros. The stars of Bayern Munich will resume tomorrow at Säbenerstrasse, the club's training center. If Thomas Tuchel can count on his recruits Konrad Laimer (RB Leipzig) and Raphaël Guerreiro (Borussia Dortmund), Kim Min-jae (Naples) must finish his military service in South Korea (he will join his new teammates in ten days during the tour in Japan and Thailand), and the technician will still have to be patient before hoping to be able to meet Harry Kane on a daily basis.
Not that you would know but I'm sure any of the top clubs will have no trouble agreeing terms with Kane. It's down to what we would be willing to sell him for and always has been.I’m pretty sure he’s already agreed terms with Madrid. Matter of time.
Agreed. Can't believe some are accepting it and just like "let him go, we can't enslave him anymore!" *queue dramatic panoramic music*. One of the greatest strikers in the world, Spurs supporter as well and you want to just give him up. Bollocks to that, 'throw the kitchen sink' at him, let's convince him to sign a new contract. If not, we get one more year and are more likely to have 'success' with him than without.
We're damned if we do, damned if we don't. We sell, the media and some Spurs fans: 'Spurs will never succeed if they keep selling their stars, no ambition' etc etc. We don't sell, the media and some fans: 'Poor Kane, held hostage by that mean old Spurs, shoulda got rid and got some money for him, this is on Levy, etc etc.
If this were Liverpool, United, Chelsea, City, they would be lauding Kane for his integrity and commitment/loyalty.
Don’t agree with that take at all. I think he’s mismanaged his own career by signing that giant contract for a long time.We are about 5 weeks away from the start of the season. Just speculation, of course.
It’s not about what others think it’s about the effect on our team/squad performances. Can't believe some are accepting it and just like "let him go, we can't enslave him anymore!" *queue dramatic panoramic music*. That is what I meant. There are many things that happen that isn't necessarily anyone's fault. But, some intellectual honesty is required (especially for Levy as a business person) that having a generational talent for as long as we have had, and having a consensus feeling of an underwhelming result over that time, does point to someone's mismanagement. That is specifically what I was referring to.If you meant that we haven’t built accordingly around him (which is me being generous to you) then yes, the manager and transfer decisions post-Poch (albeit understandable at the times for a “win now” manager), there is clear clear fault in the hierarchy that he’s not re-signed up.
