Plenty of room at City for him. Once they had Adebayor, Aguero, Dzeko, Tevez and Balotelli, or Aguero, Dzeko, Negredo and Jovetic. It could be similar to Liverpool with 5 great forwards.
City have just gone a season with a single senior striker on their books, and regularly bench him in favour of a midfielder. The days of them playing 2 up top and having a bench full of no.9s are long, long gone.

Liverpool don't really play with a traditional no.9 either. Origi is the only one they have and he gets about 4 starts a season. Don't see Klopp going for a player as expensive and immobile as Kane - all their playing forwards are monster pressers and v.quick.

They don't have to play with 2 up top, Haaland, Kane, Nkunku(if they get him) can play in multiple positions. They haven't gone for a season with a single striker by design, it just happened after they got Levy'd, plus they were always going to get one of Halaand/Mbappe next year. They could easily add 2 more versatile forwards like Kane and Nkunku.

Kane ain't going to City if Haaland is there. No chance.

Nor are they paying Kane money after already dropping insane money on Haaland.

Maaaybe he goes there in 2 years on a free if Haaland is moving on or injury prone. That's the only way I can remotely ever see it happening.

Completely disagree on all points, but to each his own.

So Kane and Bentancur not 100%. Just shows how much we need to strengthen in the summer. If we were in any other competition we would really struggle in the league. Fair play to Kane for pushing through to try and get us into the CL. It probably comes down to not having the world cup in the summer too. I wonder whether he'll recover for the nations league.

Kane cost the club an absolute fortune to buy and he’s never injured so why would we buy a backup for him

Oh no wait…….

Think everyone in the known universe agrees we desperately need a backup.

It's more whether we should spend a huge fee on another 'first choice' striker or buy someone a bit cheaper/more versatile. Personally I'm in the latter camp.

City also have bought Julian Alvarez from River Plate. With him and Haaland coming in the summer they'll be covered up front.

The club have been debating this point for 8 seasons lol

It’s not about having another ‘first choice’ striker it’s about having options in the squad should Kane need resting or heaven forbid substituting for the last 10/20/30 mins!

Llorente wasn’t first choice. Did a great job when called upon, helping out his other teammates

Absolute joke we’ve run Kane into the ground and papered over such an average squad with this World Class player

The club have wasted a once in a generation goalscorer by not adding enough quality around him

Yeah I agree - even if it's just someone like Vinicius it makes a huge difference. Think the problem is it's hard to attract players that are good enough who also want to play second fiddle. We should always at least have someone though.

Matt Law putting out another nonsense article about "Time running out if Kane wants to quit Spurs" trying to create a link to Chelsea.

How do I get a job like that?

He's been nothing but negative for quite a while now. I'm not one for believing the media have it in for us, but I'm fairly sure with Matt Law he is very bitter about something. He was pretty clued up not too long ago and was on the money with a lot of what he was saying. That very much changed though around the same time Hitchen left the club.

Coincidence???

Now it seems Hitchen seemed to let things out to the press when it suited him. Many reporters have only negative sh1t to share these days and most of it is B/S. Hitchen does seem to have pretty poor at his recruitment and with Paratici and Conte in tandem let's hope the future is brighter than before.

He's an utter prick. I once saw him at the ground actually. I’m just disappointed I didn’t use the chance to tell him he is one. I won’t make the same mistake next time.

Good news is kane is now here until his contract runs out or he just signs a new deal and realises no one else of interest can afford him.
